Thank you Niki. We know you're going through so much right now and I wanted to acknowledge YOU for all you do. We are so happy to hear of Chris' progress and look forward to much more good news and progress ahead.
Niki and Chris...great news. You are both in my prayers. What a journey up that mountain! I can't tell you how relieved I am to hear Chris is making such good progress. I guess ya'll can be my long lost non-cuz (after all Nancy has Mitch, lol). Thanks for the updates...keep the good news coming so that I don't chicken out!!
Niki, Chris - I'm so glad y'all got through this difficult phase, and that Chris is pretty much where he should be at this point. We're all rooting for him as he goes through the rest of his recovery "on the other side!" And Chris - the NEXT time you have open heart surgery - try to lay off the power lifting beforehand!!! :-)

Hello, Chris. You don't know me, but I am here learning about you in the heart valve journal because of our chiropractor, Jeff Shebovsky, who is nearing his surgery date. We saw him on Monday, and he talked about you and the friendship that has begun through your need for surgery. I know he values your friendship so much. God works in mysterious ways, and I feel he has brought both of you together to help you through this process. You and your family and your doctor are in our prayers and our thoughts. How beautiful that God has given us the power in our hands to do what these doctors do, do help people like you like a long and fruitful life. God bless you and bring you continued speedy healing. Hello "Son"! I am just now learning of your situation and confess it is a bit much to take in all at once. I am so sorry you are going through so much at your young age! On the other hand, from what I have been reading, it does sound like God has been at work in your heart and life so I must believe all of this is for a specific purpose. You have always had my heart and to that I will add faith-filled prayer to the Only True God who can do what no other can and that is to heal you completely, from head to toe and everything inbetween...from the inside out! Keep your faith in tact through all of this and know that He does all things well and is faithful to complete a good work in you. Can't help but wonder with all of this journal, etc. just how much God is using you and your story to reach and touch so many others! Standing in the gap and making up the hedge for you while you focus on complete recovery! I love you! Your other "mother", Aleta Berger-Shaw Jeremiah 29:11 Stand on it and believe it with all your heart!
I'm approaching my 1 year anniversary (March 10) of my mitral valve repair surgery and I'm doing fine. Good luck on your recovery, Chris! The time will fly by and you'll be feeling like yourself again soon. My best to you and your family. You'll do well with your positive attitude! My thoughts are with you.
Am praying for you and your continued recovery progress.
Just learned I have not only mitral valve prolapse with regurgitation, but also aortic valve with the same problem. My carotid is 40% blocked and I am to have further testing.
I hope that you can breathe on your own now. Sorry to hear about Chris' complications. It sounds like he is doing better now. These days are very hard on the spouse. I think my wife had a harder time on the day of my surgery than I did. Trust that he will be OK, because he will.

I know we have spoken by phone and text but I just wanted to write here too and express here that our thoughts and prayers are with Chris and you. All night I woke up and thought of Chris and sent him healing energy and prayers. When Chris is all better, I'll let him know I too finally had the "big cry", thanks to him. :)
Jeff Shebovsky (and Carol too)
Niki, for some reason I have not gotten your update notifications by email. I just checked the journal home site and saw that Chris had a complication. I'm sure it is just a "speedbump" and he will be fine. You are both in my prayers. Please keep posting, I will keep checking the home site for updates. Stay strong!
Chris and Niki,
Sad to hear of complications but in the best hands. I continue to pray that the rest of this journey is uncomplicated and balloon support removal goes well. God is with us. Love and support...Elizabeth Devaney
Thanks for the update Niki and glad to hear that progress is being made even if it is taking longer than we hoped for. Continued prayer for strength & comfort for you and the family. Aggie up Chris, you can do this!
