Great news Chris....so glad you are doing soooo well. Hope you get home today or tomorrow like you think! I am soooo happy you are over the mountain and feeling so well. Blessings. JamieTodor
Welcome back! Glad to here you are doing well sorry you had to speed ST. Patties in the hospital though, I had one Guinness for you! Any idea how long you will be in the hospital? Hope you get out soon.
Chris Barnes Thanks! I evidently had a lot of Guiness and green beer by proxy. BTW - who is this?

I HAVE BEEN PRAYING FOR YOU AND WILL CONTINUE. THE WAITING TO FIND OUT WHAT ALL IS GOING ON IS THE HARDEST THING BUT IT SOUNDS LIKE THIS JOURNAL WILL GIVE YOU LOTS OF INFO FROM THOSE WHO HAVE TRAVELED A SIMILAR PATH.

Sorry to keep you guessing, but maybe you need that mental stimulus! Sent link to my sisters. Keep plugging away - I'll have a green beer for you tonight.

Great to have you back Chris. The temperature fluctuations will go away very soon. Mine are nearly gone at 2.5 weeks post op. You get strong quick. Congrats on a successful surgery.
Hi Chris,
Stay strong. I also had more work done than anticipated. I had a lot of issues the first 4 days after surgery.
The most difficult part is over, its all easy from here.
GOD BLESS

Carole and Margaret both expressed a desire to see this site. Do you care if I send them the link? Glad you two are updating us. Left some rye bread at Mom's if you get hungry.
Chris:
Hang in the there-I know you are in not the best mod right now but every day hings will get better we really miss you at work. So hurry and get well please.
YAY Chris....so glad you are doing well. Keep on walking and use your spirometer. That made a big difference for me in recovery. Hope all continues to go well for you...Jamie Todor

Best of luck Chris.
Looks like we may be postponing our 25th wedding anniversary trip to Yellowstone this summer in lieu of surgery. You may need to send pictures when you go!
Will be looking forward to your "I did great" update post surgery.
Best of luck Chris. I had the Ross done one week ago today and if someone told me I'd be out walking the streets of NYC, going out to eat, and only taking 400mg Mortin as needed, I would never have believed them. I'll be following you. Thoughts and prayers with you today. There a special place in our hearts for us Ross'ers.

Chris,
You've inspired me as I'm in the process. Thank you!
Good luck! You seem like you have prepared well and done it all right. I'm thinking of you and your recovery.
Have a happy heart day! Sorry I have not called lately. I have bees busy with the new job. Sounds like you have a good doc, I am sure you will do great. You are in my prayers!! Look forward to hearing from you after surgery, either though here or phone. God bless
We'll be praying for you Chris. Hope all goes well and we look forward to having you back at work. Yellowstone sounds like a great place to go when you're ready.
I swear you sound just like me brother. Trust in the doctors and have peace. Have patience through ICU and know that you get exponentially better with each passing hour. I'm 2 weeks post op and feel really good. I plan spending time in my garden tomorrow and am ready to tackle the lighter items on my honeydo list. You'll do great buddy. I will be praying for you. God is great!!
Chris, I felt the same way. I was very calm the last few days. And, to this day I have taken no pain medication since the first day. The anticipation was much worse than the surgery.
It's been 1 week and we are driving to the mountains tomorrow to hike a little. My worst problem has been the neck and shoulder pain but Tylenol helps that.
I, too, am looking forward to do some activities without huffing and puffing.
Well, Chris, I did all that stuff today as well and will be showering tonight with the "special soap" and again in the morning. We are getting a "valve job"!! "Let's getter done!". Looking forward to hearing about your recovery. Robert
I like that you have something really beautiful to think about throughout this -- that positive energy will carry you through. Lots of luck and best wishes for a super easy recovery.

Thank you for including Tom and me in your journey. Our prayers are with you and your surgical team and for your rapid and complete recovery. We'll be seeing you soon my friend.
Chris Barnes Thanks, Sandy! I knew I could count on your support.

Chris. Just sleep when you can. I was surprised but I did sleep about 3-4 hrs the night before. I thought that was pretty good. You will be fine. You won't feel tired at all
My surgery is the same day and at the same time in NM. Am looking forward to reading about your recovery! Looking forward to having more energy! Blessings to you and a smooth and speedy recovery! Robert W
