Thank you again for updating all of us. And I loved looking at the pictures. Great family. We miss you and look forward to your return to Lockwood. God is so good all the time. Rest easy and as my dad loved to say, "Easy does it; one day at a time."
We enjoy reading your updates Julia, and especially sending prayers of thanksgiving that all went so well for Charlie... Continued blessings for a fast and comfortable recovery... Take care and ALL WILL BE WELL....
Charlie & Julia,
Lynn and I are extremely happy that all went well at the Cleveland Clinic and that you are on the road to recovery. Thank you, Julia, for all of your e-mails and journal updates. We really appreciate them. We had a wonderful time during your visit in 2010 and I am looking forward to the three of us playing some golf. Thanks again and God bless both of you and your family....
Lynn and Dick
We are so happy that your surgery has gone so well!! Rah! Rah! to the Messineo team and all the prayers that have been said. Keep up the good work and listen to the doctors, we know you will after all you've been through. We will keep you, Julia and Doug in our prayers Love Mary and Steve
How do you like having the gout? Fun Hun. I've had it three times. Twice in my big right toe and once in my left hand. The hand was fun since I'm left handed. It was also misdiagnosed so I had it in my hand for a month.
So I guess you will be on 100% R & R. I'm guessing if you listen to the doctors you'll be out and about in no time, and listen to the little lady.
Way to go Charlie.
Hang in there Julia.
Praises to the Cleveland Clinic and their terrific staff.
Blessings on all the heart patients and their families. It's so good to have each other to depend on. And don't forget prayers of supplication AND Thanksgiving.
Inch by inch. Go team Messineo!
We are so glad that you are doing well. The latest update from Julia sounds really good. Try not to rush your recovery...there will be plenty of time to do that once you have completely recovered!! Keep it up!
Linda & Joe
Hi Charlie and Julia, That is amazing news getting out of ICU so fast. I know how hard it is Julia as I have been in your shoes as well with my daughter 3 years ago. You need to get your rest as well. Charlie will really be needing you very soon. The worse is over he is going down the other side of the mountain. Cant wait to see it myself. Charlie you keep up the good work, one day at a time, every day will be better than the last one. Good luck to all of you and prayers your way.
Dear Dad --- I am having a great time at camp. I hear from Precious and Peyton that all went well with your surgery. I send lots of licks and tail wags to the doctor and his team for taking such good care of you. My love to you and Mom -- get better soon.
Charlie, Just talked with Tim and heard the great news! All the prayers and positive energy is working. But you are eating Meatloaf? Meatloaf.?Tell them you want spaghetti and meatballs, eggplant parm, and your Mom's braciole. Our thoughts and prayers are still with you and we are looking forward to seeing you soon. Love, Darryl and Eileen
Hi Charlie and Julia and Doug,
So glad the surgery is over. We thought of you so many times yesterday while I was pruning and weeding in the yard and Jim was working on this very neglected house.
Thinking of you as always.
Love Suzanne and Jim
Julia, you have done such a great job of keeping us informed and involved in the process. We are so glad that all went well and that the procedure is complete. We are keeping you in our thoughts and prayers.
Just read Charlie's story and am sending up prayers. Just being 8 days post op - I can say the recovery process is pretty amazing- not only to be matched by all the prayer warriors and supporters on this blog. Continued healing to you!
Hey Jules and Charlie. I've been thinking of you today. So glad to hear the procedure is complete. Sounds like all went well. I'm praying for a speedy recovery. Soon the love of your life -- your best friend -- will be at your side a new man and feeling well. Take one day at a time and stay strong. God Bless you Jules, Charlie and Doug.

You did an eloquent job expressing strong, true emotions as you watched them take Charlie to surgery. You also have shown the strength you have to get him through this. Doug is a blessing. I Relived it with you. Stay strong,
The powerful prayer that will be said for Charlie during the next 30 days from UNITY,24/7,They have asked all of us to join in together.
"Charlie, you have the healing love of God flowing through YOU now, restoring energy and vitality."
Julia, we are all behind you, and Doug also!
Hey Charlie and Julia, We just wanted you to know that we are with you in spirit and linked to you with prayer. Charlie, Julia, & Doug...
Keeping you all close in prayer today as you climb the mountain together. I know you will feel God's presence as he holds your hands & is standing beside Dr Roselli, as they work together to give Charlie his 2nd chance!
If HE leads you to it....HE will lead you through it!
Charlie, Julia and Doug...you are all in my prayers today as Charlies hits the summit of his mountain and starts the slide down the other side. You are absolutely where you need to be. I had AVR there in March by Dr. Gillinov and it was practically a non-event for me. Could not have asked for better. You are prepared, you are ready and you have God on your side. I know you've been through A LOT, but I think your "luck" has changed...I mean, think about it...if you had been anywhere other than CCF...would you have had access to a DENTIST and problem solved? I doubt it. Anyway, I have had computer issues for what seems like forever now, not always able to navigate the site, so I took this chance to let you guys know I have you in my prayers. Stay strong...the climb is almost over!

Good luck Charlie and Julia! Your wonderful attitude will help so much in recovery! It is impressive to see how far you've progressed these past few months with all the medical challenges. So happy to hear you have finally made it to your base camp and ready to climb the mountain.
I am sure you have read this from previous posts, but just in case, make sure you request a window room after you step down from the ICU. The views are great!

Charlie and Julia,
Thank you for including us in this grand challenge and adventure. You are in good hands all the way around. Our prayers are with you and looking forward to seeing you back here in Lockwood. Take care and feel the love from so many. Lois and Laney
Charlie, my thoughts and prayers will be with you tomorrow. You can do this! It won't be easy, but take it one day at a time, and sometimes one hour at a time, and you can do it! Soon you'll be on the other side of this huge mountain you've been climbing. You have a great support system and that makes a huge difference.
Charlie & Julia;
We have been thinking about you guys often since you left Lockwood. You are in our thoughts and prayers as you complete this journey and return to us in good health.
We know God will be with you tomorrow. We look forward to many good times a head. Please let as know if there is ANYTHING we can do to help, in any way.
Your Friends, Jack, Ann Mary, Precious, and Peyton
