What a blessing to have you there with your mom...I know that means so much--thank you for keeping us all informed. Please give her much love - & a hug from us all ...we are praying for great rest, no pain, & a quick recovery to return back to FL
Love Ya Jo
Ooh! A view of Cleveland!! I think when I had my tonsils removed at St. Mary's, I had a view of the Intracoastal -- now THAT'S a view! Of course, when you feel well enough and are able to be up and around ANY view is wonderful:)
Maybe Randy can scare up a hot plate and cook up something really yummy for you ladies. Blessings, Mrs. B
Carla, things seem to happening so quickly and you are doing so well. I am truly amazed! We are so happy that you have been transferred to a room and real food. I would go for the pastry too. We will keep praying that your blood pressure remains elevated at a normal level. Jennifer, you are doing a great job of keeping us informed. I wish I could have met you when you were at your Grandma Janet's house. Next time. Sharon & Walter
I look forward to my messages from you on Carla's condition. Isn't communication wonderful? As well as the advancements in medical technology. I'm not sure if Carla told you - but I am on a waiting list for a Liver Transplant. So - I am trying to remain positive and keep myself going. As my health gets worse - I just wait for the phone to ring. Nancy Cole Parnell
Well Carla, you must have paid more for your step down room. I had a view of the CCICU that I had left. No matter, it was great to be in a quieter environment. My blood pressure was fairly stable post op but my heart rate dropped to 40 so the pacemaker kicked in several times till that stabilized. It's pretty amazing what our bodies can endure.Continue to heal.
Hey - Congratulations on the "Graduation" to a regular room & "real" food - I'm amazed at your progress and praising the Lord with you for each step of the way! Your updates are wonderful, Jennifer - It's so good to know what's happening since we're so far from being able to drop by in person - Keeping you near in our thoughts & prayers - Keep up the postings - Love, Darla
To God Be the Glory great things He
has done. Praising our Lord for
the pain not being so bad right now.
We will continue to pray. Thanks
for keeping Jupiter friends informed.
Because of Him, Judy and Doc Z
I am rejoicing with you guys. So thankful the surgery is over and will continue to pray for healing. Thanks for the updates, it is so good to hear what is going on. It also helps us to know how to pray. Love you Carla ♥ Anna
Dave and I are pleased that the sugery was successful and that you are doing well. We are looking forward to your return home soon, and to your full recovery. You are missed, and we so appreciate you ministry and your friendship.
By the time you hear of this message, the night will be over. We are praying for a restful, peaceful, pain-free, healing, mending, good blood pressure night!!!! Whatever happens tonight, we know that God has a mighty plan for you, and He loves you more than you could possibly know.
Rest easy my friend,
Kathy Daniel (Precepts)
Praying again for a good night's rest for you in the hands of our gracious God who never slumbers.....So glad Randy and Jennifer are with you....was wondering what songs were on your ipod....was remembering the great cd you made for the couples dinner and how we had such similar tastes in music :) Remember that beautiful rendition of "Be Glorified" that you gave Jim? Can't help but rejoice in how God is being glorified in the prayers of the faithful who know that He is sovereignly overseeing every aspect of your surgery and every aspect of your life!!! We serve a mighty yet personal God who knows every minute detail of every one of His children's lives. What a sweet grace.
with all our love,
Nancy for the K's
Thank you Jennifer. Tomorrow will be an even better day. Getting that ventilator tube out is a biggie. Pray her pain eases so she can sleep tonight. The nurses will take good care of her, all of you need to rest also. Prayers for her recovery.
Hi Carla, Randy and Jennifer,
Praise God for His marvelous works! We are thanking Him with you for how He has answered the prayers of His children! We will continue to pray for a fast and full recovery! Missing you...Bob and Pat Whitney
I am 11-weeks post-op today from a mitral valve repair at Florida Hospital Orlando, so I know what your mom is going through and how to pray. Obviously, it's an unforgettable experience for all. That first night was a rough one for me, but the next day was so much better. I sure recall begging for ice chips. By next morning, I was eating a full breakfast tray. I had the central line as well. My surgeon routinely has his patients bank a unit of their own blood prior to surgery, so I was given that back post-op. At this point, do keep your mom on her maximum pain meds dose. My nurses made me ask for it. No worries about addiction at this point. Just keep her as comfortable as possible.
God truly is in control, and He continues to be with you all. Our prayers continue as well. I love your Bible quotations!
I JUST RETURNED FROM CHOIR PRACTICE, AND HEARD THE JOYFUL NEWS!I PRAISE OUR MIGHTY SAVIOR AND GREAT PHYSICIAN, THAT HE HAS BEEN WITH YOU.I AM SO GLAD IT WAS A RE-REPAIR! HOW WONDERFUL OUR FATHER IS. YOU JUST REST NOW-IT IS OVER. YOU CAN NOW REST IN THE LORD AND OUR PRAYERS AND YOU WILL SOON BE BACK WITH US.
IN CHRISTIAN LOVE,
Your Preceptresses were praying our very hardest for you today! Thanks for keeping us up to speed. And Praise God, for it sounds like everything went very well!
We will continue to pray for a speedy recovery, rapid healing, and a minimum of pain (none would be nice!)
You are surrounded by prayers and lifted up on prayers and covered by prayers and resting in the Palm of the Father's Hand. Rest well, my beloved! Heal. Mend. Come back to us as soon as you can. We love you and miss you!
Kathy Daniel...and the rest of the Precepts Posse!
Jennifer and Randy-I'm Carla's childhood friend from New Richmond. I was also Randy's dance partner to "The Bird." I haven't been able to concentrate on anything today except think about you all and pray. I was thrilled to hear all the good news. I love hearing from you - so keep it up and I'll try to keep up my part of the deal. Nancy Cole Parnell
Such great news....Praise God - We missed you today at Precepts - we all prayed for you during class - right when you were having surgery...Thank you Jen for keeping us all updated.....what a blessing.
Love You Jo
Jen, I'm surprised you didn't post that photo of Carla that I sent in her birthday card last year -- hahahahahahahaha!!!
When's Randy going to write an update? (hahah too!)
Oh, how wonderful, that our Lord God has chosen to glorify himself in his faithful servant and through this wonderful surgeon. We will continue to pray for an amazing recovery. Love you all, Mrs. B
What a wonderful day. Praise God. He is a faithful God. We will continue to pray for a quick recovery & it sounds as if that is already taking place. I'm sure once off the ventilator that her pain management will kick in & help her alot. Tell her we love her & can't wait to talk to her. Grandma is doing fine & just talked to her Pastor & he prayed with her. God Bless.
Hi Carla and family, you hang in there girl--you are doing wonderful. Your family and friends are with you all the way. I am so happy for the Heart Valve Journal. I will be keeping in touch. Love, Sharon and Walter
Carla, I was at church this morning to fold some brochures and had 4 other ladies there with me...Jean Dunlap, Marilyn Lavoy, Amy Temple and her neighbor Connie Sue. Darla stepped in and told us you were in surgery right then so we stopped and prayed for you and for the Doctor to have skilled hands. Praise the Lord, He answered our prayer. It's great to hear that you've been RE-repaired! God is SO good!! Thank you, Jennifer for the Journal updates.
Much love, Joyce Dunlap

Such wonderful news today!! We too praise God with you and your folks. A re-repair...that's just so awesome! Thanks to our God who does marvelous things! We send our love and continued prayers from central Florida.
"Praise to the Lord, the Almighty, the King of creation! O my soul, praise Him, for He is thy health and salvation!" Praising the Lord with you for the good news & progess so far . . . Praying for the continuing journey - Give my love to Carla . . . Darla
I have been waiting for this wonderful news! All of our prayers were answered. Thank you God. We can all celebrate in thanking God.
Thank you Randy for e-mailing me about signing th guest book. Your family was in my prayers too. Sharon
Thank you so much for the update, what wonderful news. Just what she wanted, a re-repair. Please tell her not to be stressed about the endotracheal tube. My worse part was being so thirsty. I did awaken and doze and did that several times. Then they had me wiggle my toes and squeeze the nurse's hands, to see if I had a stroke. They then told me they would remove it and they did. If she went into surgery with her peace at 0 to 1, this is a piece of cake. Finally got some wet mouth swabs which quenched my very dry mouth. Tell her not to worry, the worse is behind her. Prayers for healing.
To Carla's family........so glad everything went well.....i had just heard about that Mini Maze......and i am going to ask my husband heart Dr. about that.......will keep you all in my prayers......hugs...from Minnesota...ruthie
