3-12 2010 Delighted to learn that after all the tests you've endured there is no major problem. It appears that all you need is some assistance and time to heal. I'm doing last minute prep for Alpha's "A Day of Authors" which keeps me out of mischief. You are in my thoughts and prayers. I look forward to visiting with you in a few weeks.

Hello Ms. Simmons,

Hello Ms Simmons, I am Pat Cook(72) from Connecticut. I had an Aortic Valve Replacement plus a single by-pass on 4-1-09. Just a little complication in the hospital. I had an Atrial Fibrillation episode but Intensive Care people took care of that. Today, I feel just like I did before the shortness of breath started. Life is good. You will see. Best regards.

Dear Bev,

Your new room sounds so much more comfortable. I'm so glad you are feeling well enough to make the change. We missed you at Book Club, but knew it was your birthday. I hope you felt all of the birthday wishes being sent your way. I don't know if you are able to go outside, but if so, the weather is due for a nice warm up. I really appreciate the updates on your situation, so keep them coming!

Miss you,

Love, Janet K.

Bev, it was good news to hear that the battery of tests you endured on Tuesday did not reveal any bad news. Now to recover from the tests! Karen and I had a great trip to the Farmers' Mkt. on Wednesday (your birthday). That afternoon she got the good news that you would be eligible for the Transitional Care Center. I know you can have visistors there and I plan to visit you on Friday. Love, Joyce

A Birthday you will always remember-Happy 83. i was sitting at my breakfast table this am and watching the birds fighting other birds in my feeder to get on the perch when my squirrel decided he wanted in on the action-so he climbed the tree-came out on the branch -shimmed down the rope and encountered my squirrel guard covering the feeder. Well he got on slid off -repeated the procedure and fell off again. The third time he was wiser and tilted it so he could hang on and swing himself onto the tray and eureka-a feast!! He worked so hard and I enjoyed it so much I let him get away with it for a while then I went out and shooed him away. well the little booger sat on the tree and we had a staring contest until I got within three feet then he scrambled upthe tree-only to repeat the action as soon as I got back into the house. we carried on for some time but secretly I was tickled.God sure gave them lots of persistence and they keep at it until they make it . Just like you Bev-keep at it girl and Happy Birthday!!!

Jimbo & Jaybo say Hi to Bev, and a very happy birthday! I didn't write yesterday, as I didn't believe the age that was stated for you; I thought you were in your early 60s, especially since you were still teaching at CSFU.

Today I did research in County records, and verified your age. Unbelievable.

I have a DVD for you of our performance at the church a week ago. We did good.

Hope to see you soon.

My goodness, Bev,

I am so sorry that you have had to face this'bump'in your recovery, but you surely know now about all the parts that are working well. The transition care sounds like a very good place for you to be. I am sure they will find the culprit that initiated the blood loss and get you moving again.

Happy Birthday. We missed you at Book Club today. You would have enjoyed the two long reports. Hope you will be at full speed for the spring event in April.

Thoughts and prayers are with you. If you ever need an errand run, there are plenty of us around. Feel better.

Happy Birthday, Bev. We missed you at Book Club this morning. Our spring play day will be at the Casa Romantica in San Clemente. I recall our last play date when I drove Ray's car and did not know how to operate the seat warmer. I plan to drive again and hope that you will be well enough to be my co-pilot.
Do hope that each day you are getting stronger and the many tests you are given will produce a clearer picture for the doctors for how to proceed. Know that you are in my thoughts and prayers for recovery.
Fondly,
Masako

Hi Bev, Karen & Lisa, I keep losing my connection to this journal but fortunately, my sister, Margo, sends it on to me. So glad when I saw you today, you looked GREAT, could it be the prospect of birthday party time or just plain feeling like yourself again. Anyway, we will keep close touch now and check on what the doctors are doing or not doing. You can tell they are going to love us - your friends and family have formed a committee to back up their decisions. ha ha. Take care dear friend , see you soon. Love to you and your caregivers, Irene

Happy Birthday, dear one!! I'm sorry you are spending it "up the street", but am hoping you will get some answers today. I came by the house earlier and left a love gift for you on the chair in the garage. Please, Karen, look for it. As for memories we've shared, I have no idea where to begin. We've been blessed with so many. Just get better so we can keep adding them. Ken and I send our love.

Piglet lay there, wondering what had happened. At first he thought that the whole world had blown up; and then he thought that perhaps only the forest part of it had; and then he thought that perhaps only he had, and he was now alone in the moon or somewhere, and he would never see Christopher Robin or Pooh or Eeyore again. And then he thought, "Well, even if I'm in the moon, I needn't be face downwards all the time," so he got cautiously up and looked about him.......

Mi Mama- looking forward to having you back on earth. Enough space travel for you- you have heard the 269 well wishers on this blog- and the 269+ others out there rallying for your return to the Bevness they have all come to know. We all look forward to having you face upwards!

My love and thoughts on this day for you. XXX000 Lisa

Birthday Greetings to one of the youngest, young ladies I know. Karen suggested we might include a fond memory. There are a few but one stands out. At Polly's, lessons from a great teacher on the proper manner in which to blow the paper cover off of a straw.
Next lesson on your return might be, how to hit the intended person er I mean noting that your target may be move ever so slightly so administer not quite so much air. Birthday blessings and lots of love from Nancy Kent
