Way to Go! So glad you're home ~
Bev, neither Mary nor Nancy can come down for lunch on the 13 but with your routine I suspect this isn't going to happen anyway. I leave on a cruise to the Western Caribbean on 3/23 returning 4/5 (Easter). It's a full week after that as well.

Keep us posted on your progress even if this event doesn't happen until summer.
Love, Anne

Good Morning, Bev
Hope you had a great night of sleep. Do you know yet if you will go to cardiac rehab? Are you aware if Medicare will pay for the rehab? I heard a rumor that they will pay for by-pass surgery patients but not valve surgery patients. Because you are a few weeks ahead of me (my surgery is March 18th), you'll be enrolling in the therapy before me. Any info you get, I would appreciate it if you would pass it on to me. Keep healing.

Back to normal is an ordinary day, right?

I'm so happy for you that this is over and you'll be in your own bed at night.
What a simple, blessed gift.

Dear Bev:

You once said you favored a saying that went something like: "Make it so!" Well, dear friend, you certainly decided to beat this thing, and so you did!

Hope you can feel the hug I am sending.

Bev - I missed WBC week before last and didn't even know you had your surgery. So happy to know you are doing well, that you are home, and that you have so many people looking after you.

I'm looking forward to seeing you and seeing you back to your old self, only even better! It sounds as if you are probably exercising more than I am right now.

My best wishes for a continued swift recovery. Please call me if you need something from the store, a ride somewhere, a new book to read - or anything else.

Bev, I am so happy to read that you are in a
room of your own. Adeline told me that you
have a date for us all to go to your place. I am sure that you are not up to that yet. However I would like to know when you do come home. If there is anything that I can do to be of help just send an e-mail or call me on the phone. I pray for you often.

Mom,
Ciao!
You were right, Sorrento is BEAUTIFUL!!! soooo Italian. After spending Tuesday checking out Sorrento, we went to Pompeii yesterday. Spent 6 hours there, what an enoumous excavation site - VERY cool! We might go to Capri today. Weather is very cool and rainy right now and I am fighting off a cold, so we are going to see how I feel.
I read that you are making good progress! Keep it going, BE BRAVE!!! Interesting how in less than one year, the tables can be so turned...
Let's talk on Sunday - OK?
Baci, baci, baci!

Hi Bev,
My goodness, this sounds more like the Bev we know. We missed you at Book Club today. We had several good reviews. Doris reported on Madeline Albright's pins--they are something to see. Carolyn E. had another one of those superwomen books--probably related to you! Hope to see you next time.

Carolyn says, "I'm trying to think of sth clever...Nothing is coming. So see you soon."

Hi Bev,

We missed you today at Ginger's house. I gave my 30 minute report on Amelia Earhart, so I'm off the hook for another year! It's hard to believe you'll be coming home tomorrow. You must be a very good little patient to be ready for release so soon. I will keep you in my prayers. Love, Janet K.

Karen, it must be wonderful to have them here.
Bev, you deserve the best! So glad you made it to the penthouse. Now, I know you must be anxious to get back to your own beautiful house and comfortable bed. I will be tied up until Friday with work, etc. Let me know when and where I can visit after that time.
Missing you.

Lisa and karen,

It's been wonderful to read your daily reports, and to know that Bev has so much support and love from her family. Thanks.

Hi Bev aka Ms. Piggy,

Terrific news that you may be going home soon. I know you are looking forward to your own bed , the doggie, and getting out of the hospital routine.

Aloha and love to you,
Gloria S.

Hi Bev, It's nice to hear that you are tubeless, more or less and that you are eating well. As part of our olympic adventures we were taken to a very chi-chi restaurant called Lumiere where the portions were a great feast for a three year old but left us starving. It was a pretentious place with gorgeous morsels for outrageous prices. I hope the hospital food is better than what we got. All our love, Zoob and Isabelle and a big hi from Sam

I love this blog - when you get home, I will miss it. The Olympics have been short of inspirational!! Lindsy Vonne is a physical wonder and the figure skating is only topped by the USA Hockey team. Wow, this kind of dedication to training and discipline can only be topped by your efforts to get back your full steam again, even the mac and cheese. Remember, this food is your fuel and all engines need the best to run well. Hurry home cuz with my tear duct surgery I am not driving too far yet. Love you and bless your caring family, Irene

Hi Bev - and Lisa and Karen Wow - tube-free (Almost?) and a different view! But the view from Fullerton will be even better! Guess all those prompts to eat were the key to moving on. Congratulations! A special thanks to Lisa for doing such a great job keeping us informed. And so good to hear you actually got out of the hospital to the beach! Hope your trip home goes well! Bev, you know we're all anxious to welcome you and your million dollar smile home!
With continued prayers for you, Jennifer H.

I am glad to hear that you are moving up in the world and that you ate your lunch. You must have the same onery streak as Judy. Judy eats light at dinner, but has no problem woofing down a piece of pie afterward. Keep on your good behavior and listen to Lisa and Karen. Blessings.

Hi, Hooky-Player Bev,

To Lisa and Karen - support groupies extraordinaire! Bravo for the messages and instant info on Bev's progress. Question: where IS she? What hospital in what city? You mentioned going back to Fullerton.
Hi to Beautiful Bev - Sorry I could not be there with you to hold your hand and help you roll with the punches as in another place, another time, many years ago. We love you for your courage and great spirit. We add our prayers to all those who love you.

Hello Bev,
Received the super good news from Lisa about your change up to the IV-less digs. With the possibility of a window view no less. Simply wonderful.
Also, great to hear that your appetite is coming back. Must be those laps around the nurses station.
I will begin to collect the drinking straws and they'll be at the ready for your return to the Emmanuel Breakfast Club.
Praise God for your recovery. Thank you and sincere appreciation for Lisa & Karen and the ever timely posts. Take good care.
Love and blessings-Nancy & Dan Kent.

Hi to all of you,
Thanks to Karen and Lisa for the updates. I really appreciate getting to know about Bev -but also loved living vicariously as you got to walk barefoot on the beach. We all need that!

I hope that Bev is eating so that she can move to the upper levels of life!

Hi Bev
I think you must be coming back if you are asking for your communication gadgets and some entertainment! Way to go. See, it must have been eating a little something that perked you up.

When I read that the girls went to the beach I was in awe because where I am, it's 0F and snowing. Beach sounds awesome.

Keep positive Bev and you'll be home in no time. Cheryl, Ontario

Those girls who are managing your blog are doing one heck of a job! It is so good to hear that each day you a bit stronger and a bit more in charge. I don't suppose you are receiving gourmet meals, but whatever they are, they 'gas up' the body machine, so there really isn't any choice but to dig in so you can get moving. I sure hope you are getting dessert.

I am so cheered by yor entries in the blog. WE are late in learning of Bev's ordeal and want to be able to send loving wishes from her OLLI friends.

Do you have an address that will be accurate for the next few days?

Thanks for re-routing our good wishes to her for her continuing recovery.
