Hello to Brave Bev and all of your intrepid caregivers. The news of this new round of tests gives us another reason to pep up the prayers for you, dear friend. I hope they will adjust the coumedin soon. It is nasty stuff. Much love to you all from
Chuck and Rita.

I'm praying hard today, dear Bev and Karen.

May you feel God with you 24/7

Love, Anne

Good morning Bev & Karen
You certainly are being tested, aren't you? The great news is your heart is great and the surgery worked. The colonoscopy, etc will get at the bottom of the bleeding and a solution will be found. Be of good heart, seems you still have your sense of humor (Tang). Prayers going your way.

Hi Beverly
You are such an upbeat lady. I salute you and your efforts at healing. Great idea to post a note. If you want it badly enough you'll figure it out. Prayers. Cheryl, Ontario
On March 7, 2010...
Dear Bev,
You have friends at church who also want to chip in. Can you devise some kind of HELPING HAND LIST? By that I mean, list the various ways people can help: what they can do, the day and time. We'll post this at church and see how we can all pull together to see you through this time.
Marci has done sth similar. So her friends from all different organizations have chipped in.
Don't worry about Karen's absence. We'll pull sth together.
In His Love,
Carolyn
Love you

Lucky you! Lucky dog! Lucky Lutheran!
On March 7, 2010...
Good Day Bev! I loved the Lucky and the Lutheran Minister Story. Hey, that will definitely do your heart good! No pun intended. Besides sounds like good fodder for a short story. Miss you at church and at breakfast. Happy to know of your progress. This is the best deal in town to keep in touch. Blessings and "gentle," hugs. Nancy Kent
On March 7, 2010...
Seek and ye shall find. If the Lutheran minister doesn't work out, you can leave Lucky with us. No problemo

Suzie
On March 7, 2010...
That IS a gift! Twice a day will get Lucky out and about while you take your time getting back to speed.

I'm in slo mo myself. The retina of my right eye developed a tear and though it was attended to within 6 hours by a laser procedure, my sight is still compromised. That, on top of neuropathy in my lower legs and feet, makes walking a challenge.

Oh my! Life can deal curve balls when least expected.

You keep up the good spirits!
Blessings, Anne

God is good, we know that. You'll have her companionship without the effort. One day soon when you can lift her your heart and you will be happier as you'll know how far your recovery has come.

Hi Bev:

I do tend to get behind on e-mail so was sorry to hear that you had a not so good day. Glad that you are back on track. We missed you at Early Birds on Thursday night. We had a good crowd and, of course, prayers went out for you. Do take care. We love hearing updates. Glad to hear that you enjoyed Ted's e-mail about "Love".

much love,
Ted and Joy.

Hi Beverly, the fact that you can keep your eye on the ball for the goal is a good sign. Set backs aren't fun and can be a little scary, but as you say - reminds you to count your blessings (well you didn't say exactly that, but it sounds good, doesn't it).
Keep getting better and stronger!
Richard's wife, Susan

Hi Bev,
It was nice to hear your voice with a smile in it. Think about all the trouble I can get into—it will make you get better all the faster.

You"re in our thoughts, our prayers and our hearts.

Two steps up the ladder and one backwards. I always feel if the overall result is upward, that's a positive thing. having been on coumadin for so long I know the frustration of getting that INR level within s therapeutic range. It'll get better. Prayers continue.

Wow! I missed a few days because I have a monster sinus infection--nothing important, but enough to keep me from visiting. I am so happy to read that you are doing so well. Not a surprise, but still good to hear.

My husband has missed you and Judy in his 'book' class. I doubt that you will be back in the few weeks of this session, but that class is always there. Stay well, Ginger

So glad to hear all about your days (and nights). And I'm glad that you are getting your appetite back. We miss you a lot and can't wait to see you. You missed a life-changing sermon Sunday. Tee hee. (That's what we always say around here whenever anyone misses church. Gets 'em every time.) I am sending a virtual hug to you right now ( a gentle one of course!)

Good Morning Bev & Karen
Thank you for the entry in my journal. You are an inspiration for valve surgery and recovery. Seems one of the consistant themes I read about is having a great support system and seems you have a big one. Thanks for your suggestions about the Ipod. That's one I plan to use. Thanks for following my progress as I get down to the DAY. Since we live in FL and will be in OH and have family and friends all over, the journal will be a blessing for Pete to keep everyone up to date. I have learned so much from people who have been so good about sharing.Hope healing continues without any hiccups.

Dear Bev,

We are back from our visit in the desert with Clyde's brother and wife. We went to the follies, and had so many good laughs. We saw some old college friends the night before his brother arrived, and talked over old times. It has been a few years!
Can I run errands for you, bring goodies, read to you.....etc? I'm available. Wish you well. Love, Janet K.

Hi, Bev,
Thanks for the journal entry. It was also wonderful talking to you. I would like to visit (I'll keep it down to 15 minutes) tomorrow around 11:00. I will call and confirm in the morning - making sure you are up to it. Will it be OK to have Suzie and Kathy join me?
BRAVO for Karen!!
Love, Adeline

Marci is recovering nicely.

Hi Bev:

We are glad to hear that you are doing so well. How wonderful to have Karen caring for you and cooking good things.

Walking and rolling ankles sounds like enough activity for now but every day will likely bring increased strength and a gradual return to the energetic Bev that we all know and love.

Blessings to you,
Ted and Joy

welcome back home. sounds as tho you are doing great. Proud of you. we've just spent a week in Palm springs on an Elderhostel. They had a chef come in 3 days and he was wonderful. He kept fixing us drinks(smoothies) with Mila. Look it up on the internet. It's from the chia plant and seems to help everything. It's an omega 3 that protects the heart and does all kinds of other wonderful things. When you're up to a movie, go see Young Victoria. Wonderful love story. Know everyone is eager to see you back at Emmanuel. Take good care of yourself. We love you Lardies 2

So happy to know you are snuggled in you lil' nest and that Karen is taking such good care with your meals and such. Love your attitude and love you too. BTW I haven't written as Dan and I have been in NY the last 5 days. Brrrrr. It was truly an awesome time attending my daughter's solo art show. I am so proud of her.
Love to you and keep up the great tude, food intake and excercise. Nancy Kent

Yeah! Beverly is home. It is amazing how good it is to keep hearing about people going home. I am sorry to be so corny but there really is No place like home. It is just the best feeling and actually for Richard and I when he came home it was "overwhelming," and I am sure all must share the same feeling!
It brings back memories Bev to hear about things like needing your hair washed, etc., --- it all little by little, one by one starts getting better with each of those steps. Richard wil be out of the hospital a month this coming Friday and he will hopefully be able to drive soon and all these steps help the slow progress of getting back to normal.
GLAD you are home. Take care,
Richard's wife, Susan

Glad to "hear" your voice. Jim's stepdad also joined the "oink-oink club" 3 years ago at age 81. He has been a superman every since. You probably know many people who have walked in your steps, but he is willing to commiserate anytime. Love you.
