Hi Amy,
Frankie has been telling me about your surgery and sent me this link so I can watch myself. I am so glad everything went well with the surgery and sounds like your in really good hands! What a jewel you've found in your husband, Matt. Thanks Matt for keeping this journal up-to-date. Don't forget to take care of yourself too.
Let Amy know she's in my prayers.

Wonderful news and thanks for sharing it with us.
Matt we are all thinking of Amy but also what you are going thru. Having been there, I understand much of what you are experiencing and know its a very difficult time. Take care of yourself as you are and will be an intergral part o fher care and recovery that will start as soon as she is transferred from CIC to a room.
Again thanks

Hi Matt
Read how taken back you were to find the doctor NOT with your wife right away. I guess that's just the way it is and suppose there is no use him just standing around as Amy is prepped. It's 1:50 pm here so I'm praying Amy's surgery is over and she is well as can be expected. Looking forward to your next posting. You hang in there. This is going to be a tough week but you'll all get through it. Cheryl, Ontario

Hi Matt,
You're a good role model for my husband Steve, who will need to do the journal updates next week when it's my turn. I'll make sure he reads yours as an example of an excellent journal entry! Not sure of the time difference but I'm hoping that Amy is in ICU after a successful op. Wishing you both an uneventful night and looking forward to more updates over the next few days! Warmest wishes from Penny (in a very snowy Scotland - most we've had for 20 years!)

It is still cold and good to get this over with! Tubes don't help with the golf swing!
Nice humor Matthew...yeah Tiger and Micheal Jordan..well they both have cigars in common.
Glad the Olympics are on for you Amy because the way these girls are wipping out and getting up and skiing again, it puts you in the "same group" of never giving up!
Be good and know your loved by everyone.

Hi Amy,
Today will be the most nerve racking I guess, although you sound as if you are going to be busy right through the day so that will help. Keep those positive thoughts with you right up to 'lights out', find a mantra that works for you as soon as you wake up and we will all be so relieved and thankful when Matt posts up the good news that all went well. Look forward to sharing notes on a training program to get back on the green!
Warmest wishes

Hi Amy
Guess it's time. Do you feel ready? It sounds as if you are pretty organized so I shall assume that is the case. Want to wish you God speed and lots of luck. You are in my prayers. I will look forward to your husband's update if he gets a chance. It may be a while before you swing a 9 iron but I'm sure putting will suffice for a bit. All the best. Cheryl, Ontario

Awsome picture.
When your being wheeled down the hallway Friday, just think about that big fish on the other end of the line, the warm breeze, and I would kick it up a nothch from dreaming about an ice cold beer on the water to a frozen Rum Runner and Tuna Tartar!
Of course don't forget Matt helping you reel it in. That would be called a Happy Place. We will all be praying for you.
Keep your feet in the water and a__ in the sand and you will do great.
happy boating
