{"id":8214,"date":"2012-05-18T11:33:17","date_gmt":"2012-05-18T16:33:17","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.heart-valve-surgery.com\/heart-surgery-blog\/?p=8214"},"modified":"2018-08-29T19:06:12","modified_gmt":"2018-08-30T00:06:12","slug":"cindy-pastrano-remembered","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.heart-valve-surgery.com\/heart-surgery-blog\/2012\/05\/18\/cindy-pastrano-remembered\/","title":{"rendered":"In Memory of Cindy Pastrano, Wife and Mother"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I am very, very, very sad to report that <a href=\"https:\/\/www.heart-valve-surgery.com\/journals\/user\/cindypastrano\">Cindy Pastrano<\/a>, a fellow patient from San Antonio, Texas, recently passed away.<\/p>\n<p>Since joining our community, I had become familiar with Cindy as she shared her experiences with us at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.heart-valve-surgery.com\/journals\/user\/cindypastrano\">her journal<\/a>. Given her energetic attitude, funny remarks (including her distaste for the dentist), and post-operative status, I was shocked to learn of her passing.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone\" alt=\"In Memory Of Cindy\" src=\"\/Images\/cindy-pastrano-memory(2).jpg\" width=\"450\" height=\"331\" \/><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<br \/>\nAt her journal, Cindy&#8217;s sister-in-law, Lori, provided this note:<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>We have some very sad news to share. As you might have known, Cindy was expected to be discharged yesterday. However, she suffered some complications. At approximately 11:30 pm Thursday night, it appears she suffered a severe heart attack and was in critical condition in ICU. She under went 2 surgeries and her condition never improved. At 12:15 am today, while surrounded by her family, Cindy left us to be with her Lord. Love never dies and her love will live on in our hearts.
