{"id":7907,"date":"2012-03-02T14:17:07","date_gmt":"2012-03-02T19:17:07","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.heart-valve-surgery.com\/heart-surgery-blog\/?p=7907"},"modified":"2018-08-29T19:48:36","modified_gmt":"2018-08-30T00:48:36","slug":"in-memory-of-kelly","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.heart-valve-surgery.com\/heart-surgery-blog\/2012\/03\/02\/in-memory-of-kelly\/","title":{"rendered":"In Memory of Kelly"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>When starting a post like this, I don&#8217;t really know what to say&#8230; Or, how to say it.<\/p>\n<p>That said, I am very sad and sorry to inform our community that Kelly Nugent passed away on Wednesday.\u00a0 As Katrina, her cousin, shared with me, &#8220;Kelly fought a long, hard fight after experiencing multiple, post-operative complications including excessive bleeding and infection. Following her heart surgery, several additional surgeries were needed to address the bleeding, the infection, and remove her gall bladder &#8212; which may have been the source of the infection. But, no one is really sure.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone aligncenter\" alt=\"\" src=\"https:\/\/www.heart-valve-surgery.com\/Images\/kelly-nugent.jpg\" width=\"500\" height=\"333\" \/><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>This was the second major health issue for Kelly during her life.
