{"id":489,"date":"2008-08-13T05:13:31","date_gmt":"2008-08-13T10:13:31","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.heart-valve-surgery.com\/heart-surgery-blog\/2008\/08\/13\/thanks-to-abc-for-hopkins-mini-series\/"},"modified":"2018-09-02T14:54:48","modified_gmt":"2018-09-02T19:54:48","slug":"thanks-to-abc-for-hopkins-mini-series","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.heart-valve-surgery.com\/heart-surgery-blog\/2008\/08\/13\/thanks-to-abc-for-hopkins-mini-series\/","title":{"rendered":"Thanks To ABC For &#8220;Hopkins&#8221; Mini-Series"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Earlier this summer, we chatted about the debut of &#8220;Hopkins&#8221; on ABC and the sometimes, overly dramatic Grey&#8217;s Anatomy.<\/p>\n<p>Well&#8230; Robyn (my wife) and I just watched the seventh-and-final episode of this very unique, very touching mini-series about the reality of working at Johns Hopkins Medical Center in Baltimore Maryland.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<br \/>\n&nbsp; <\/p>\n<div style=\"text-align: center;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" alt=\"\" src=\"https:\/\/www.heart-valve-surgery.com\/Images\/hopkins.gif\" width=\"350\" height=\"80\" \/><\/div>\n<p>&nbsp;<br \/>\n&nbsp; <\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>I can&#8217;t tell you how much we enjoyed this show.<\/p>\n<p>Yes, Robyn and I intently watched the complex and nerve-wracking heart surgery cases that were presented throughout the series. However, the other medical miracles documented throughout the show (especially the three-way liver transplant) were equally amazing. But, above all things, we appreciated the honesty of the patients, caregivers, doctors and nurses within the show &#8211; even when that honesty brought both of us to tears.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<br \/>\n&nbsp; <\/p>\n<div style=\"text-align: center;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" alt=\"\" src=\"https:\/\/www.heart-valve-surgery.com\/Images\/hopkins-tv-show.gif\" width=\"372\" height=\"340\" \/><\/div>\n<p>&nbsp;<br \/>\n&nbsp; <\/p>\n<p>If you have the time, I would highly recommend watching Hopkins.
