To claim the title, Ethan&#8217;s team went on an extraordinary and undefeated 13-0 run.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-38454\" src=\"https:\/\/www.heart-valve-surgery.com\/heart-surgery-blog\/..\/Images\/ethan-pick-robotics-champion-state-california-vex-competition.jpg\" alt=\"Ethan Pick Robotics State Champion\" width=\"600\" height=\"314\" \/><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>If you are not familiar with the <a href=\"https:\/\/recf.org\/vex-robotics-competition\/\">VEX Robotics Competition<\/a>, here&#8217;s a quick video showing Ethan&#8217;s team competing on a &#8220;field of play&#8221;.\u00a0 As you will see, the robotic teams built these amazing robots that are designed to perform several tasks during a &#8220;match&#8221;. This year, the robots get points for developing autonomous self-driving software, scoring goals and climbing poles. In addition, it&#8217;s really important that the robots can also play defense.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"YouTube video player\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/TDGvbdyL9_s?si=woWgqy4STYSkXdMy\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<br \/>\n<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Here&#8217;s Ethan with his teammates &#8211; Liam, Daniel, Dylan and Hyunjun.\u00a0 Ethan&#8217;s robotic team has been together for two years and was formed at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rollingrobots.com\/home\">Rolling Robots<\/a>, a robotics camp in Southern California.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-38444\" src=\"https:\/\/www.heart-valve-surgery.com\/heart-surgery-blog\/..\/Images\/ethan-pick-rolling-robots-winner-vex-robotics.jpg\" alt=\"Ethan Pick - Vex Robotics State Champion with Rolling Robots Team\" width=\"600\" height=\"800\" \/><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Next up, Ethan and his team will compete at <a href=\"https:\/\/recf.org\/vex-robotics-world-championship\/\">&#8220;The VEX Robotics World Championship&#8221;<\/a> at the Dallas Convention Center during a 3-day competition in April. At The World Championship, robotic teams from over 30 countries around the world are invited to compete.
