I can personally remember those and other emotions when my cardiologist said to me, &#8220;You need a new heart valve. And, you need it soon.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>As I learned about the safe-and-effective treatment options for my <a href=\"https:\/\/www.heart-valve-surgery.com\/bicuspid-aortic-valve-symptoms.php\">bicuspid aortic valve<\/a>, my fear began to transform into something much more positive.\u00a0In particular, I became inspired by many <a href=\"https:\/\/www.heart-valve-surgery.com\/videos\/patient-stories\">patient success stories<\/a> that I found online.\u00a0 <\/p>\n<p>Speaking of inspiration, I wanted to share this story about Dexter, an extraordinary dog from Colorado. As you will see, Dexter exemplifies the cliche, &#8220;It&#8217;s not how many times you get knocked down that counts.
