At 92, Kato Pomer was on the brink of death due to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.heart-valve-surgery.com\/mitral-valve-regurgitation-symptoms-leaking.php\">severe mitral regurgitation<\/a>. Then&#8230; Thanks to the love and tenacity of Karen, her daughter, Kato enrolled in a clinical trial for the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.heart-valve-surgery.com\/mitraclip\/\">MitraClip<\/a> at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.heart-valve-surgery.com\/hospital\/cedars-sinai-heart-institute\">Cedars-Sinai Medical Center<\/a> in Los Angeles, California.<\/p>\n<p>Now, 8 years later, Kato just turned 100 years young! She was recently featured on ABC news in Los Angeles.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Here&#8217;s Kato talking about the MitraClip (which she calls the &#8220;MiracleClip&#8221;) on her 95th birthday. <a href=\"http:\/\/bio.csmc.edu\/view\/3659\/Saibal-Kar.aspx\">Dr. Saibal Kar<\/a> performed Kato&#8217;s MitraClip procedure.
