{"id":16404,"date":"2013-04-02T19:59:13","date_gmt":"2013-04-03T00:59:13","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.heart-valve-surgery.com\/heart-surgery-blog\/?p=16404"},"modified":"2018-08-26T18:01:42","modified_gmt":"2018-08-26T23:01:42","slug":"east-carolina-heart-institute-microsite","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.heart-valve-surgery.com\/heart-surgery-blog\/2013\/04\/02\/east-carolina-heart-institute-microsite\/","title":{"rendered":"Dr. Randolph Chitwood &#038; East Carolina Heart Institute Launch Heart Valve Clinic Microsite"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>When I started this website 6 years ago, I had no idea what I was doing.\u00a0 Early on, however, I was very lucky to connect with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.heart-valve-surgery.com\/surgeons\/dr-W.+Randolph-Chitwood-Greenville-North%20Carolina.php\">Dr. Randolph Chitwood<\/a>, the director of the East Carolina Heart Institute (ECHI) and mitral valve specialist.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone\" src=\"https:\/\/www.heart-valve-surgery.com\/Images\/pick-chitwood.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"350\" height=\"298\" \/><br \/>\nDr. Randolph Chitwood &amp; Me at ECHI<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>So you know\u2026 Dr. Chitwood is also a former patient who had coronary artery bypass surgery in 1998. That said, Dr. Chitwood immediately understood my mission to educate and empower patients.
