The Medtronic valve is treated with a solution called T6 tissue treatment. This <a href=\"https:\/\/www.heart-valve-surgery.com\/learning\/pig-valve-replacement\/\">porcine heart valve<\/a> is approved for both the aortic valve and mitral valve positions by the Food and Drug Administration.<\/p>\n<p>So you know, the Medtronic Hancock Porcine Heart Valve has been used for over 30 years and a recent research study showed 97.8% freedom from structural valve deterioration at 20 years.<\/p>\n<p>Interestingly enough, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.heart-valve-surgery.com\/tirone-david-ross-procedure-cardiac-surgeon-heart.php\">Dr. Tirone David from Canada<\/a> has commented on this valve.
