Dr. Lars Svensson Discusses the SAPIEN Aortic Valve Replacement

In this video, Dr. Lars Svensson addresses the roll-out of the SAPIEN aortic valve replacement for inoperable and high risk patients pursuant to indications developed by the FDA. Since this video was filmed, TAVR has been approved for intermediate risk patients as well. Recently, clinical trial results from the PARTNER 3 and Evolut studies indicate favorable results for low-risk patients as well. (Video posted on October 31, 2011)
