"Dr. Martin did the second surgery at Advent in Orlando. Replaced the valve and aortic artery with Terumo mesh. This is my second surgery. The first was 6/15/04 with Dr. W Douglas Boyd at the Weston Cleveland Clinic. I had a two leaflet valve that was replaced with a bovine valve. Both Doctors were fabulous. They were kind, both described the procedure in great detail, and I had an excellent outcome. "

"I traveled around the country visiting Doctors in Texas, GA and Philadelphia, PA before asking Dr.Martin to preform the surgery. He spend time answering all my questions, and making sure I was comfortable with the details of the surgery and post surgery recovery. He’s a talented surgeon and surround himself with any excellent team. I would highly recommed Dr. Martin "

"Dr. Martin was fantastic. He went into great detail to explain the issues, surgery and expected outcome of the surgery. Surgery was easier than I anticipated. Recovery has been a breeze...I attribute this to his skill and the wonderful care I was given during my stay at Shands in Gainesville."

"His bedside manner was excellent.Even though I am a Cardiovascular & Thoracic Surgeon, he discussed everything what was to be done & what to expect in great detail despite my own personal knowledge. He is an expert in treatment of heart valve (especially aortic valves).Obviously,I chose the best based on research & my own personal knowledge of heart & vhest surgery. I was very pleased with th results & am back to work. I might add, that the only pain that I had was with coughing & required analgesics no more than once a day! I also had replacement of my ascending aorta."
