"Due to my unconsciousness my family was forced to make decisions. I arrived at the hospital by helicopter on Saturday, December 17, 2017. Dr. Thomas Gleason was the surgeon who was in charge. My family told me Dr. Gleason had me put into a condition whereby I would become stabilized so the surgery could be performed. It worked and the surgery worked! I left the hospital on the evening of December 25th and my daughter drove me home. I don't know if I have checked all of the procedures that were done, and I don't care!!!! Dr. Thomas Gleason held my heart in his hands and gave me back to my family so I could harass them for a few ,more years. What gifted surgeon !!!!!!! An Amazing man and a gifted surgeon!!!!"

"It has been over 10 years since the repair and ascending aorta valve repair and ascending aorta replacement procedures was done. An extremely complicated procedure at the time. I had great confidence prior to the surgery and over 10 years later my repair of the Aortic valve is holding well with mild regurgitation. I doubt many cardiac surgeons in the country could have received the results at that time. I was not only impressed with Dr. Gleason's surgical abilities but his keen interest and research in valve repair, replacement and advancement. He has a particular technique that was evident to the echo technicians when having my annual echo. A technique that has held up unbelievably well. I always felt and knew Dr. Gleason to be the cutting edge of innovativeness and advancement. I never had the opportunity to thank Dr. Gleason except during the hospital stay remain as active as ever and will be 60 in a few months. I exercise at a fairly high aerobic intensity for an hour a day. I wanted this opportunity to thank Dr. Gleason. Thank you Dr. Gleason!!"

"Dr. Gleason was an amazing surgeon. His team was caring, answered all questions, took the time to calm worries and concerns and his staff was available almost 24/7 for any thing that might have come up leading up to the surgery. He constantly kept in touch with my daughter during the surgery so that she knew everything that was going on and was able to adapt as needed when my condition required more extensive work than first anticipated. I really do credit him with my new life and the care received by him and his staff was outstanding. The cardiac nursing staff was amazing and so caring and kind!"

"Dr. Gleason was awesome. I felt comfortable with him from the day we met him. His office staff is excellent as well as his surgical team. I knew I was in the very best hands for my complex surgery. I had an aortic valve repair along with the replacement of my aorta from the root up through the arch of my aorta -- which meant super cooling my body and shutting off all my bodily functions include my brain. Not only was Dr. Gleason in the operating room for the surgery, he remained with me in CICU after my surgery for hours until my condition stabilized. My scar is only 4" long and hardly noticeable. I truly think the hand of God guides Dr. Gleason in what he does."
