"It was an extremely difficult time when we found out I needed mitral valve surgery on 12/23/11. When we started our research it was amazing how many times Dr. Patroklos Pappas’s name at Christ Hospital had come up from doctors, friends, and co-workers. We originally had 2 consultations set up but after meeting Dr. Pappas he made us feel so reassured that he would do his best to repair my valve perfectly and do the 2 bypasses. We totally believed in him and trusted he would take great care of me so we cancelled our 2nd consultation at Northwestern. I had surgery on 2/23/12, Dr. Pappas did open heart surgery along with the tremendous team of doctors and nursing staff at Christ Hospital. They all did a great teamwork approach. It was only 2 weeks ago and I am already feeling better and recovering very quickly. My wife and I are extremely grateful and thankful for the excellent care and would highly recommend Dr. Pappas and the entire team at Christ Hospital to anyone needing heart surgery.
