"I had a great experience with Dr. Couper and the whole team at Brigham and Women's. My mitral valve in particular was a tricky repair, but it's apparently not leaking a drop. My incision has healed quickly and well. Absolutely no complications. From my initial conversation with Dr. Couper when I first started thinking about surgery to my post-op conference I have appreciated his candor and willingness to explain things until they made sense to me. He's as busy as any top-ranked surgeon, but I never had the sense that his head was anyplace except in the conversation with me. "

"He was very to the point, but explained everything in simple terms that were very easy to unerstand. He said to me before the surgery You won't really know how sick you are until you feel better after the surgery. That was the truth, I feel truly like a new person!"
