Hello! My name is Dr. David Moore and I am a cardiac surgeon having graduated from L.S.U. School of Medicine in New Orleans in 1981. To date, I have performed approximately 3,120 cardiac surgeries, of which 700 involved heart valve procedures. I regularly perform surgery at hospitals including The Heart Hospital Baylor Plano, Medical Center of Plano, and Medical City Dallas. Read more...
I believe my greatest strength is very good surgical training and “Hands On” experience. I have had a strong, diverse clinical practice for 24 years in the Dallas area. I recognize the importance of spending some time with patients in teaching and answering questions regarding their respective conditions.
I strive to seek the best options for my patients and dedicate myself to seeing them through their surgery and recovery. I am associated with a fine group of surgeons with much collective experience which is a great resource in the care of my patients. We practice in an excellent hospital dedicated to our mission of optimal cardiac surgical care.
"Total confidence in Dr. Moore can't think of anything he could improve on. He is by far the best doctor I have ever had."

"Dr. David Moore literally saved my life after another doctor had punctured my aorta during an angioplasty procedure. He was professional, honest and kind. I owe my life to him."

Just before my surgery, I asked Dr. Moore if he would bring his "A Game". HIs answer will be with me for the rest of my days. Unlike most surgeons who would affirm bringing their "A game", he said, “I am honored, grateful and privileged for the trust and faith you are giving me by putting your life in my hands, and yes....I will bring my A game"...
It does not get any better than that. A great man he is, and great surgeon as well."

Dr. Moore visited Rick each day after surgery to see how things were progressing, was honest with feedback on Rick's condition and gave us confidence that he and his team would do their absolute best to ensure a successful surgical outcome. The surgery was challenging and Rick wasn't in an "ideal" condition going into the procedure. In the midst of the fear and concern we had of the procedure, we had absolute confidence in Dr. Moore. He portrays competence, confidence and compassion. As an individual and doctor, you can't ask for more. Anyone who is fortunate enough to receive the care of Dr. Moore should feel very blessed -- as there is simply none better."
