It has been really wonderful to come home and meet our two new grandsons, though I haven't been able to hold them close yet. Since coming home life has been full of Drs. appointments, lab tests and new medications. I have been very weak and VERY tired most of the time. In fact after just a short visit to the lab or Dr. I've nearly blacked out several times. The reason for this is that my hemoglobin has gone down to 7 (should be above 12) so I need to take in foods rich in iron. Other than that, my incision is healing well and I am not taking any medication for pain. My biggest accomplishment is walking almost 1/2 an hour one day. Steve has been/is an absolutely wonderful caregiver and I've really appreciated the notes each of you have sent. What an encouragement you have been. God truly is Good!
