WAs in hosp from Wed until today as blood pressure went to 188/124, I had a quintuple bypass in Feb 2001 and have done well with it. I have severe Copd and was given the diagnosis of Severe Aortic Valve Stenosis in July. With a .7 opening. Blood pressure escalated quickly this week after a sinus infection took hold last Sat, Tues I made apt and heart dr. said not until Oce 6 and then the called me back and said they could see me Tues. I was admitted to hosp and had a heart cath Wed morning and they found a 95% blockage going to Kidney and put a stent in. Dr. has called Oschners in La and to see if I could go over there right now, but will have to wait for them to call next week now as there is no room. They do not want to do Open Heart due to High Risk, 60 YO F 172 lbs. So they are going to try and do the procedure thru the groin, suits me just fine. The past 6 months I have been so tired and little energy, Spending a lot of time in bed. The dr. said the valve had to be just the right number for maedicare to pay for it and I guess it is there now. My question is, when all of this is over, will I regain my strength or some of it and O2 I was put on oxygen this week due to it going into the 80's without oxygen. It has never been there before always 96 or 96.
John Noriega I will be praying for you Sharon that all goes well & that your recovery is smooth.
