I received emergency surgery for a aortic dissection on Sept 20, 2009. I was left with an aortic valve that has calcified leaflets. They did minimum repair during surgery but unfortunatley could not do a complete repair, therefore, it is probable that I will need another surgery to repair the aortic valve. I am hoping when that time comes they can repair without opeing my chest. I will be 63 in a couple of weeks. I am doing well. I went through huge depression after the surgery which I guess is normal.
