Cath was completed on Friday...gradients were terrible but all the vascular were clear of any obstructions ...and more good news was that the ventricles were in good shape..no thickening or enlargements. Considering the status of the valve they wanted to do it on Monday...unable to get in in the schedule and I needed a few days to get my personal affairs in order...so its this Friday...5 days and so much to do... I'm lucky in one respect, I'm still able to work which takes up a lot those free moments where you sit and stare...The Shortness in breath is kept in check by having others do the heavy lifting and so on... In any case one thing has come clear, I have always been very considerate for patients needs but there is no doubt my empathy for the needs of others has gone up significantly...and thats always a good thing.

I know this will work out well. I'm well read, I've spoke with a number of people in the "know" and they all agree that I should expect really good out come. Problem is I never see people on the "recovery" side of the curve..I only see them on "sick" side.... With that said, I'm still haveing anxiety that at times when I'm not busy that is almost overwhelming. When that happens, I come to this site and read through members Journals. Its helping and if I continue reinforcing the positive it will take hold. Friday can't come soon enough..just another step completed.
