15 days after aortic valve replacement (second time, first was in 2010) I am doing quite well. Can walk about 20 minutes several times a day. Also busy with chair & leg exercises, they want me to do them twice per day. I'm sore but moving does seem to make... Read more.

what chair and leg exercises? i was only given ankle pumps. :(

Congratulations on getting through heart surgery # 2. Just curious about how this time compared to your first surgery. Hope you are all done with open heart surgery!

Surgery Tomorrow! Since this is my second aortic valve replacement, I know what to expect which might be making the waiting worse!!

Happy - My aortic valve replacement has been moved up to Friday, 3/12! The anxiety is mounting as this is my second valve replacement so I know what's coming. Just want to get it over with so I can start the healing process & get back to life
