My 17 year old son will be needing aortic Valve Replacement from a unicuspid aortic valve. He will also need to have an aneurysm repaired at the same time. We are looking at the On X valve versus a pig/cow valve. I am seeking others who have either had this... Read more.

Hi Lori. My 22 year old son had an aortic valve replacement/root replacement three and a half months ago. He chose to go with the tissue/pig valve. He wanted to avoid the blood thinners.

Hello, My son was born with a unicuspid aortic valve and now has developed an aortic aneursym/ He is 13 and has no symptoms. Surgery is not necessary yet, but is anticipated in the next year or two if the aneursym grows. I am interested in learning from others on... Read more.
