I want to once again thank everyone for their messages of encouragement and care. It truly helps me get through many hard times. Well, my last test came back with great results. My ejection factor went from 35% at the end of August to 51% last Monday. I have finally started to notice a change in myself. I feel more like me again. Something I had wondered if I ever would feel again. I am definitely not what I was before surgery and never will be again, but this piece of me I have been given back is wonderful! I will be honest and say that my personal life has taken a turn for the worse. Please, I am not looking for messages about that. Just so you know if you don't see me on here, it is personal and not health. I guess I can't have both good at one time....I have resigned myself to this. I continue to pray for everyone on here in whatever stage they are in. You are in my thoughts. Kimberly S.

I want to thank everyone so much for their uplifting comments, support and love. I sure wish some of you lived closer:) I am going through some personal issues right now and did not want people that contact me regularly to worry or think it was for health reasons. I probably will not be on here for a while. But prayers would be so greatly appreciated. I am in desparate need of them.I do have the mugascan tomorrow which will tell if the damage to my heart has stayed the same, gotten worse or gotten better. I know it has been a while since I have been on. I was sick all of last week and just started feeling well again Monday. Thank you to my HVJ friends that left msgs. It still amazes me the care and concern you find from people here. Before David left again, we attended our first Mended Hearts meeting. They meet once a month. Although I am the youngest by at least 20 years in our group it was good to be around people who understood. They were all so nice and I was surprised at how many there were. I look forward to the next one in October. We are also doing the Heart Walk at the end of October. I have a team of 14 (family and friends) that are walking. My goal is to at least be able to walk some of it by then. I am excited and the team has raised $775 to date! I couldn't believe it. You can look it up on the American Heart Association to see when they are having the Walk in your area if you are interested:) My 2 weeks of rehab were going really good until I got sick last week. I missed Mon and Wed and tried to go in Friday but because of my symptoms they took me in one of the rooms and did an EKG, put me on oxygen and started giving me nitro.They called my cardiologist but he was in clinicals so the cardiologist there wanted to admit me to the hospital and I said no because nothing abnormal showed up on my EKG and my aunt from TX and dad were coming in that day. Luckily my cardiologist called and said to send me over to him right away. So I met with him, had another EKG, changed some meds and had blood tests done.He mentioned that I might just have to sort of learn to live with the chest pain I have the best I can.My valve ring is sitting directly on top of my stent which is putting pressure on it and he said if it collapses again, there will be no need to go in and do another angioplasty or stent. There are so many new people on here! My thoughts are prayers go out to everyone and it is good to see the people I started out with on here continuing to get better:)David will be back Friday for a couple of weeks before he has to go back again.As Fran put it, I am definitely not complete when he is gone. October 3rd will mark 4 months since surgery but more importantly it will be our 1 year Anniversary!! Best decision I ever made in my life was marrying that man:) Hope everyone has a great upcoming weekend! Kimberly S.
