Everyone is home!! Katie brought John came home on Wednesday afternoon. Sorry it took so long to tell you, but I went back to work and real life began again. He is moving slowly, but doing a great job getting up each morning, getting dressed and moving around the house. He even sat in our neighbors backyard for a short time while I had a margarita!!! Gray brought Buddy (our Lab) home on Thursday who enjoyed College Station with John and his household for a week and then spent time with Katie, Gray and Gumbo (Katie and Gray's Lab). John is still fighting high blood pressure, but is on te road to recovery!!! Thank you again for all the gifts, dinners, cards, phone calls, messages and visits. Each one has been so special to us!

We got word today that John would not be going home today. His blood pressure is too high and his Coumatin level is too low. He is moving around slowly, but looking good. He got the chest tube stiches out today,which look worse that his big incision. We enjoyed all of our visitors this past weekend which came from as far as New Orleans and Denver!!! I am returning to work tomorrow and Katie is going to take over.Our children have been so good. John took our Lab up to school this past week (he is an Aggie now)and really enjoyed college life. Katie has been at the hospital everyday and took Buddy when he came home from College Station. Keeping the faith that John will come home on Wednesday!!

The last couple days have been filled with minor problems, but he is holding his own.He ate his first meal this morning and he seems to have a little more strength. He has been walking to and from the restroom since yesterday morning.All IV lines are out including his PICC line (yeah).Today is shower day which is MUCH needed. All close to him are thankful! We have not been given any indication of when he will go home, but I am pretty sure it will be early next week.He hasn't asked for his blackberry yet,but he asked today who I have talked to, so he must be coming back to reality. I can't thank you all again for the prayers and well wishes!
