Hopefully, you have a cardiologist that you visit regularly. This is the person who will let you know when/ if your valve will need to be replaced. Do you have regular echocardiograms to check on your valve? Sorry it took you so long to be diagnosed and treated !

Hi Jeff, can't answer your question but I also had Dr. Shemin as my surgeon. He's is a genius and a great surgeon. Hope he answers your questions.

on August 11 it will have been 12 years since i had my aortic valve replaced at UCLA. I am 69 now and feel great. I am so grateful for Adam because if he had not started this site, because he loves to help others, I never would have understood... Read more.
