Hi All
My cardiologist says I should not be having pain for my 4.5cm aneurysm and aortic regurgitation. But I do and it is a worry to me. I have had angiogram and no calcium at all so that good. The pain actually feels like it is in the heart, is constant and only slightly worse with exercise. My GP was no help. Any thoughts

Marie Myers I had a 4.8 cm aneurysm, and didn't even know it was there till I had an ultrasound for my bicuspid aortic valve.. Another thing to rule out would be chest pain caused by acid reflux. You could try taking an over the counter acid reducer like famotidine, omeprazol, or pantoprozol for 2 weeks and see if that helps. Hope you get some answers!

Matt Sheffield I had pain before the surgery, but turns out it was probably GERD. Heart checked out very well after surgery, but still had chest pain once in awhile. I usually have it after eating tomatoes or eggs. My surgery was at a 4.9 aneurysm. Have they scheduled a date yet?
