I had my avr,anerism repair and bypass 3&1/2 years ago. I have my own coagucheck machine and do my own testing. I am still testing every week As a full time farmer my work load varies a lot. I also swim, run and bike to keep my ticker running well and keeping me prepared for triathlons and 5ks to marathons(my second one since my OHS was the twin cities marathon one month ago.) My bicuspid valve was a total surprise when I fainted after a 5k race January of 2009. My surgery was April 27,2009 at Mayo Clinic in Rochester MN. I try to have my coumidin clinic adjust my dosage for what I eat. I really need my greens to control my weight. I dropped 100 lbs. eleven years ago and have been successful in keeping it off so far. My surgery was before heart valve journals but is on caringbridge site johnoneill . I hope you can get into cardiac rehab as they were very good at getting me back to running without overdoing it.
Have a great Thanksgiving as we all have a lot to be thankful for.

Ain't it the way... you're just going to have to enjoy a fabulous room with a "vacation destination" view for a just little longer. Better safe than sorry.
I must say, though, that I really missed seeing your happy twinkling eyes in church yesterday. Denise showed up, though, so that takes some of the sting out of it. Overall, your procedure sounds like it's going way better than average. You will make a speedy recovery. But when you start to feel a little better, just don't get cocky and try to push it faster than it will go. Give yourself permission to take it easy for a while and you will actually heal faster... it really won't be very long at all.
In reading your guestbook it is really clear that you have an impressive number of people that love you dearly... you are a rich man.

Hi - Jess and I plan on stopping by Tuesday night after work, hopefully that works for you! I wanted to wait til closer to Thanksgiving plus I knew you have a ton of people who love you and would be climbing out the doors over the weekend. I will watch on the Journal to find out if you are still at the hospital or have moved (Denise, give address if he moves, please). Don't rush your recovery and have any set-backs. The Lord will heal you in "his" time not "yours". I am always told that one but it is sometimes hard to accept.

Thank you for the continuous updates Denise! If I can offer some advice....
The hospital and the insurance company are motivated to have Wade out of the hospital as quickly as possible due to costs. He has the right to request that he not be released too quickly. We all pay a pretty penny to the insurance companies for our healthcare so now is a good time for you to realize the benefits. Please wish Wade our best for a continued speedy recovery!
