Hi Nancy,

The sun is shining a little, but I'm at work and can't see it from my cave. Rob the neighborhood metal collector came yesterday and got the metal roofing out of the barnlot for me. I was so scared one of the cows was going to slice a leg on it. I bet your new calves are cute!! I can spend hours just watching the interaction between the calves and their mothers and the other calves.
I put an envelope in the mail today. I know it will give you a smile. Please do not over do!!! Take care and tell Phil its okay to spoil you just a little!!

Sunshine and laughing...the best therapy ever! I think we should all drive with a teddy bear strapped to our chest. Perhaps road rage would disappear...and all our teddy bears sitting idle would feel needed and of course, what bear doesn't LOVE a roadtrip!
So good to have you home!

Good Morning Nancy and Phil,

Must be really great for you and Phil to be back on the ranch together. Sounds as if your're back to pushing fast forward. Don't move so fast that you have to rewind. Just enjoy each day and soon you will be full steam ahead.

See you soon, Monte

Hi Nancy,

I am so glad to hear that you are home and have your chair, Phil and the Pup. Now you can give lots of orders while at the same time loving Phil and the Pup.
These past few days have kept me going for sure. Got home from the OHSET meet at 10:30 pm and discovered the cows were out which means next to the road and glad the big guy was watching out for them and keeping them out from in front of speeding cars!!!. I got the main group back in and the hole fixed, but the three new heifers (black baldies) decided to not follow the herd and finally let me put them in my neighbors field. She said as I got her up that it was fine to leave them since I had to be in The Dalles by 9:00 am for a meeting. I think I am going to go for Charlois's since they show up better in the dark lol. Made it to The Dalles and back to find my other neighbor wondering what to do with the cows since they were in the lane along side my field. Well to make a frustrating experience with him short all cows put back in and all fences fixed Sunday morning. I'm still not ready for the Condo unit, but there are times it sounds kinda good.
I am going to put a little something in the mail for you tomorrow and hope you will enjoy it.
Please take care and do not over do!!!! Tell everyone there Hi for me and I will write again soon. Love Ya Julie Singer

Miss Nancy,
We know you are back in Fossil and settling in with your new chair. Take it easy and be an above average slacker when it comes to any duties around the place. Let the Crew deal with it and don't be afraid to cop an attitude.
By the end of next week we expect you to lace up the Red Ball Jets and start asserting yourself. Rome wasn't built in a day but you weren't running that operation.
On March 21, 2011...
Okay, I am just going to say it. You are having way too many tea parties. I fear you may go through withdrawal when you get back to Fossil so perhaps your granddaughters can give you a set and one of their of their dolls or animals so you and Phil can have your own tea party. Nothing wild now! ;-)

Seriously, I am so happy that you have done so well! Your loving and genuine care for others, your strong character and our God have made your success thus far possible. I know this next part of your recovery journey will be just as positive. Please, please don't overdo. You will continue to be in our prayers. Much love, Kellie & Tim

Miss Nancy,
So today is your departure from the spa! We are all glad you have made such progress. When I think about it I realize I never considered any different result. Positive thinking or just obtuse? Either way good job.
Post those 'LEAVE ME ALONE I AM SLEEPING' signs at all points of entry. Of course you might want to come up with something a little more cordial but not too much. Have a safe trip home and don't let Phil stop in De-Ah-De-Ah.

Miss Nancy,

Miss Nancy,
So if you are leaving the splendor that is the luxury resort spa that was formerly M&Ms house and returning to Fossil are you not worried about the possibility of your greatest 'step backwards' to date? Oh well all 'all too good of things must come to an end'.
If I even sense a minute of self pity I may be forced to pull from the annals of Butte Creek a revised version of my Kara 'You little......' speech and it won't be pretty!
Remember to post those "Leave me alone I am sleeping" signs at all points of entry so you can get the rest you need. Of course if I come over those signs might as well be in Arabic because as usual my low level of social skills controls my behavior and I will barge right in unannounced.
MOSTESTERLY ISMIKE
P.S. Have you seen my laptop? It has to be around here somewhere!
On March 18, 2011...
Hi Nancy. It has been some time since I wrote in your guestbook....even though I read your postings every day. Doing so has become an important part of my daily routine! Thank you for keeping up with it. If you missed a day I would really worry that something was not going well. All in all it seems like you're on a road to recovery...not an easy road but definitely going in the right direction. I hope they get that blood viscosity figured out soon. Just goes to show the human body is very complicated.

We've decided we're not showing up at the B&B until you're back cooking breakfast and greeting us with your morning smiles...we are just not sure we want to eat breakfast cooked only by Fossil Phil. Plus, we're worried he'll be hugging us more when you're not around. By the way - why doesn't Phil write in your guestbook (at least I've never noticed a posting from him)? Does he need a kick in the you-know-where?

Day by day, Nancy! Best of luck to you each day. We're here thinking about you every step of the way.

Take care,
Denise (and Stan)

Hi Nancy,
Karen of Karen and Rene here.
Writing to let you know you have soooo much and soooo often been on my mind, at different times and different circumstances almost daily. I relish in the gift you are giving your grandbabies by sharing the non-renewable resource of your time with them. Oh how they will look back on this experience! Such a gift! This is what I have been pondering most intensely recently as re: you and your gifts. Please do know I have stuggled on the "words" for this note. I hope they are adequate. I trust you understand what I am trying to communicate, as it is sent with love and respect. Best wishes to all.

I keep you in my thoughts all the time and know you are being well taken care of.
I know you will feel even better when you are back home in Fossil, but you will have little granddaughter's withdrawal. Take care and I will communicate on Tuesday.

Hi Nancy,
So great to hear that you are lacing up those sneaks! Don't overdue, we're looking forward to having you back home soon, don't want another "one step back" posting. We had a great time at RJs last night, all the Irish eyes were smiling - perhaps it was the green beer!
Lots of karaoke, dancing, and carrying on. Have a restful weekend and we're crossing our fingers that your homecoming is anon!

Miss Nancy and Crew,
I am so happy to hear you are making progress! The Crew is to be commended for their efforts and I personally owe them big time. Not that I am likely to make any effort to reimburse them but I do appreciate them.
The epic document that is your guestbook is testiment to how important you are to so many of us. Maybe you should do a little faking and go for the record number of pages. Have Milne do a little research to see just what is required. I will do my part because I am good at inane babbling. I am here for you!

Hi Nancy,
Glad you could put on your face!! Makes a lady feel good. The rain and the WIND have been doing their best to keep me entertained!! The metal roofing that was left on the old barn decided it was time to come to earth with a big gust. The lower field is becoming a lake again and the cows just want their hay every morning. Life on the farm!!! You keep getting better and I hope you get home to Phil and Fossil soon.

Good Morning Miss Nancy,
How are those Red Ball Jets fitting? Did you get started on that jigsaw puzzle?
I bet you will be glad to get home. For one thing that means you will have made significant progress and will be feeling your oats.
Just remember when you do get home you will still need ample rest. We all know you are a very gracious host and enjoy company. You may have to curtail the social visits till you regain control (like it used to be and you weren't fooling anybody) of the situation in Fossil and besides you will still need plenty of rest. It might be best if you didn't try to whip eveyone back into shape the first few days. You know they have had to endure without your leadership and they are assuredly worn out.

Hi Nancy, how is it going today? I had my taxes done-every year I wonder will I make it this year-
I'll be OK for 2011. Are you going back to Fossil
soon? Are you missing your own bed? I am so
glad you had so much help-It is so hard for people who don"t have family or friends to help out. I remember when David(my youngest son)
had his aortic valve replaced and we had complications and he was in the hospital for 3 weeks, it was a tough time, but it all worked out. I can feel it in my bones you will be well and healthy and have even more joy than you
had before and you had gobs and gobs ever since I have known you!!!!! Sending loads of love and stay strong girlfriend. Love Karen

Nancy, Thank you for your kind words. We have such wonderful memories and I feel so blessed, as I wouldn't trade them for anything. Just a couple of days ago, I was thinking about the pinochle games that went on weekly at our house. Ryann loves to play cards, just like Grandma Edna:-) I also have to tell you, I thought of Kara the other day, when I got the job of shaving Stacie's mother-in-laws head, due to Chemo and Radiation treatments. Remember when I came to cut Kara's hair the day before her birthday? She was so sick at that time and I remember how sad I felt. That was so long ago. Funny how things you do now and then bring back memories of so many others. You have a great day girl!

Hi Nancy,

You tell all those medical experts to quit messing around and give you the right stuff and the right dose so you can get on with things and get better so you can get back to the ranch and give Phil your verbal wisdom everyday!!! I am looking forward to a quiet weekend, no shows, clinics, or meetings.
Just bought a used fertilizer spreader that will work on my tractor have to go get it tomorrow, but that won't take long. My daffodils are starting to bloom, if I lived closer I would bring you a nice boquet along with some of the daphnne (sp) can't spell worth a darn, the little purple and white flowers that smell so good.
You take care and keep getting better!!!!!
Love you Julie Singer

Good to hear your doing so well. What a neat thing for you to have the two girls around to entertain you all the time.

I saw the picture of the Condon-Fossil track team on the front page of the Oregonian, they sure looked good in their Nike uniforms. Mrs. Bowerman would be proud.

Hope Sue and I can come to see you soon.
