I am glad you enjoyed your time in the Keys, it was a great way to spend some of your recovery time. I don't think you will have any trouble resuming your teaching events.

My experience was similar to DVB's. Once I got over the shock of needing surgery, I got busy getting ready for the surgery. I wanted to have it early enough that I could visit my family in Florida over the holidays, which I did. I realized my extended life after the surgery would be much better. My cardiologist said he wanted to keep me dancing, and so did I. My condition was beginning to affect my dancing.

My surgeon let me pick when I could have the surgery, and I picked a date that gave me just enough time to get ready. I think people were surprised by my positive attitude, I was joking with the admission nurse. My surgeon's nurse said she thought my positive attitude was a big factor in how well I recovered in the initial weeks after the surgery. I added my surgeon to the list of surgeons in the HVJ website. I made sure to thank all of the nursing staff at the hospital every time they helped me.

I think that our attitude makes a big difference, not only for conditions like ours that involved heart surgery, but in everything that we do. I think that is why you have done so well in recovery and in your business. (I am not so sure about Dick though.)

Hey Nancy So glad you are doing so well. Keep up the good work. Pretty pic and Skippy is pretty cute too. I am going to take your advice. I take my husband to doctor in 2 weeks. I am going to see if he has copy of first echo done last Sept and get a copy of it. In July I will be getting another one, and if he still says wait, I will call insurance company to see what to do. Its an HMO off medicare and its all new to me. Then if it is ok I will see about the big doctor gulp. This waiting is for the birds.So until then.

Good 4 u! If you can walk, you can tread. And I love the 2 hour naps. I could do that easily and my heart's fine.
