Welcome to the club of heart surgery patients. The doctors found my murmer at birth, they did a heart cath when I was 8 (beore moving to a small town out west). Been monitoring it yearly for the past 12 years. Cardiologist told me in November that it is time based on the aorta anuerysim. Had the survery on Dec 27th. It was 10 weeks ago yesterday. Went back to work 2 weeks ago. Imhave done 7 weeks of cardio rehab and have 5 weeks of that to go.
Try and relax this weekend and don't stress out. God will be watchimg over you, your family and the surgical team.
Take ot easy the first month and listen to the doctors, nurses and rehab. In a few months it will be behind you. Except for the seam of honor on your chest!

I just received the word from my cardio that a catherization and another TEE needs to be done. so I am waiting to hear from the dr. office. I have the same diagnosis.
