Mark, you are in my thoughts and prayers this morning as you "slide down your mountain". I say slide down, for you see...you have already climbed the summit. All the preparation and waiting to me is the climb. This morning you are at the top and you will joyfully slide down the other side when the surgery is done. I know it is hard to believe, this is BIG surgery, but you will be surprised at how quickly you recover and just how "not so bad" it really is. God Bless!

WOW! I was amazed to hear about this new journey in your life, but yet I
know God has you in the palm of His hand. He doesn't do anything without a
purpose or a plan and I'm glad that you see that. I will keep up with your
journey online and will be praying for you. As I have gone through many
medical situations, I always think to myself, "there must be someone in
that hospital that needs to hear the gospel or be encouraged in some way
by me being there." So I always look for that when I'm "chosen" to be
there. Also too; God "trusts" special people with things like this,
because He knows you will glorify His name during this journey, so others
can marvel at the grace of God working in your life. So be blessed my
friend, even though this is a scary time for you and your family, know
that you are in the palm of His hand to glorify His name.

Hi Mark, What a story! I see you have been to the top of Pikes Peak. I have been to the bottom lol. I am from Denver so yeah you cnat breath very will on top of the world. I to have the same thing you have but I have an aneuersym as well. It is moderate but the doc just has me waiting and I dont like it. I want my life back to normal again. Yes those blood thinners are dangerous. My daughter is on them and she always knows when her blood gets to low as all the bruises start popping up. But that was a little dangerous to say the least. You were very lucky to get it taken care of when you did. I will have to keep up with you. Feel free to read my journal, its not much but you have had more tests done than I have not that I want any more lol. I just think the doc here is slow leaking things. Well you be careful and slow down a little take care of yourself. Until later.

Ditto on the "Wow!"....
I'm scheduled for a cardiac cath on Friday....this is not the story I wanted to read! My cardiologist said a clot or bleeding is very rare. The whole time he was tellingme that I was thinking he should read some stories from HVJ...you're not the only person to have had a clot, but certainly the most extensive that I've read about.
You sound like my husband...nothing will stop you. You were bleeding internally and still stopped to visit with your daughters parents. You need to spend a little time with your couch!
Hope you recover from your event and the bruising goes away in time for the big event (your actual surgery).

With my also very active life style I chose the biological valve job so I would not have to ever worry about blood clotting and stroke issues...I'm always getting banged up.
