My surgery is Monday and I understand the wanting it to be over part. This is my 2nd surgery too, but the first was in 1964 to patch holes between the ventricles.

I remember so clearly the first time you went through this. You we scared but brave. I couldn't believe that you had to face something so huge and be so young. You have endured the hardest events in your life and I admire your strength. You will make it through this too. I wish I could be there or do something to make it easier for you. Jamie, you are as ready as you can be for this surgery all we need is to get it done....you have wonderful friends there in texas that have helped you and I am so appreciative of them. All of your friends here in Utah are aware of what is happening to you and you are in their thoughts and prayers also, With all of us praying and caring for you everything will turn out just as it should and soon this will be a memory in all our lives, and something we will give recognition to each year. I want you to know how much I love you and yes you will be in my thoughts and prayers every day as you go through this process again. I can remember sitting in the waiting room at the hospital when you had your first surgery and then coming back to sit in your room just to make sure you were going to be okay. How I wish that i could be there for you this time but please know I will be thinking of you every minute. I know that I will be updated every minute. I love you!

It's a pretty familiar term, I know MIke calls me babe all the time. That would be my guess. Jamie, I know I talked with you a little earlier, but I just wanted to let you know again how much you are loved and you will be in our thoughts and prayers every day and every night. I'm so glad that you have a great surgeon. I know they have some of the best in Texas, especially in the Houston area. I'm so glad that your mom and dad will be able to come down and be there with you, at least then you really won't have to worry about anything else except recovery. It was really awesome to see you in Utah, my hope is to see you IN UTAH again in about 6 months. We need to make a deal. You might be there before me, but hopefully I won't be far behind. Jamie, I am so glad that we are at this point of the process making the decision is the hard part and now just getting through it all is next. I know that you will be so much better after this is done and you will be glad that it is behind you and you can go on and live a full and complete life. I am so lucky to be your mom, your an awesome daughter so strong and caring, we will be there all the way with you, and I do think it is appropriate to celebrate your new heart valve with a yearly party just like we did the pig valve, celebrations come in all sizes and reasons and this one will be the best ever I love you with all my heart

So I hear there will be a contest to name the next party? I am glad our family has sense of humor enough we think of naming parties. But fun and games aside, I am glad you have a good doctor you have confidence in. It will make it easier for those of us so far away to get through your surgery as worry free as possible. Keep me posted on your recovery timeline. I am 100% willing to come hang out and help. Rob and kids are supportive of me coming as well. Big Kiss, Tight hug.

Jamie...I just had my aortic valve replaced 2 weeks ago. I still remember how nervous and stressed I was leading up to the surgery. Just know you will get thru it just fine and on the road to recovery. I feel great now, no pain and getting better every day. It's tough, I know, just be strong and everything will be fine.
