Something I just thought of - if nursing care is ever lagging, cupcakes or a tray of cheese & crackers left in the employee lounge with your name and a thank-you works pretty durn well to elevate the patient status to VIP. However, it sounds like you're getting good service at the moment.

I am watching this process from afar, but my heart and thoughts are right there with you guys!

It was my pleasure yesterday to be part of the in-hospital Team Dave support team. I enjoyed meeting everyone in person and providing what little extra support I could. It was fun having lunch with Dave's Mom and Dad.

HI Dave,

It has been 11 weeks since my valve replacement and about 9 weeks since we spoke over the phone. I feel great by the way and the pain is essentially gone. What surgery ?? :).

I know you did all your homework and have made all the right calls. You are in great hands with a great attitude going into this. Remember, you can't heal if you are in pain......so hit the meds when you are in the hospital man. Look forward to reading about your progress. Dean
