Niki, Chris - I'm so glad y'all got through this difficult phase, and that Chris is pretty much where he should be at this point. We're all rooting for him as he goes through the rest of his recovery "on the other side!" And Chris - the NEXT time you have open heart surgery - try to lay off the power lifting beforehand!!! :-)

Hello "Son"! I am just now learning of your situation and confess it is a bit much to take in all at once. I am so sorry you are going through so much at your young age! On the other hand, from what I have been reading, it does sound like God has been at work in your heart and life so I must believe all of this is for a specific purpose. You have always had my heart and to that I will add faith-filled prayer to the Only True God who can do what no other can and that is to heal you completely, from head to toe and everything inbetween...from the inside out! Keep your faith in tact through all of this and know that He does all things well and is faithful to complete a good work in you. Can't help but wonder with all of this journal, etc. just how much God is using you and your story to reach and touch so many others! Standing in the gap and making up the hedge for you while you focus on complete recovery! I love you! I'm approaching my 1 year anniversary (March 10) of my mitral valve repair surgery and I'm doing fine. Good luck on your recovery, Chris! Am praying for you and your continued recovery progress.
Just learned I have not only mitral valve prolapse with regurgitation, but also aortic valve with the same problem. My carotid is 40% blocked and I am to have further testing.

I hope that you can breathe on your own now. Sorry to hear about Chris' complications. It sounds like he is doing better now. These days are very hard on the spouse. I think my wife had a harder time on the day of my surgery than I did. Trust that he will be OK, because he will.
