When I found out I had a mitral valve issue, I immediately researched the Internet. I found several Sites with good information. My mitral valve issue was different than yours; however, my opinion is the Cleveland Clinic Foundation had the best information, and as I eventually learned more about them, I have reached the conclusion they are among the best experts, most experienced with heart valve issues, and may well be the very best for this on this planet. I happen to be taken care of by Dr. Mihaljevic and Dr. Gillinov, and their teams. I traveled to Cleveland, OH, for my repair, but I've learned there is a Cleveland Clinic hospital location also somewhere in Florida, although I don't know what the specialties are at that location. There are tons of places that have cardiac surgeons that can fix your issue; however, my opinion, when you have the most experienced take care of it, you have the ones that have the most insight, most likely, to do whatever is needed when they actually are repairing the valve.
