Wow, you are recovering leaps and bounds. I think you are more agile then you first thought before surgery and that is helping a great deal in your recovery. Remember tho, you must pace yourself, after all, you did have open heart surgery. Keep up the great work!

Good Morning Anne,
And what a good morning it is. Seems you are a star patient. Wishing you a quick, uncomplicated recovery. Please use the wheelchair at the airport, it will help out and you'll get VIP treatment. Hope your trip will not be too tiring. You should plan on walking the plane aisle a couple of times. Just speaking from experience. Continue to do well.

Happy to hear from you!! Your experience sounds a lot like mine.

I only saw my surgeon 2 or 3 times after surgery. A cardiologist saw me every day as did one of my surgeon's assistants. And of course a battalion of nurses, aides, and others. I found them all to be terrific.

I laughed about your surgeon's interest in your iPad. Mine was a center of attention too! It was pretty funny. But I did find having it was great. It made emailing and internet surfing easy. I didn't read any books on it . . . I don't think I read a thing in the hospital and it was weeks until I had the energy to read a book.

Keep walking and resting!!

Anne,
It's over and that is fantastic news! Happy Birthday, Hello new heart valve! Sounds like CC was an excellent choice for all reasons - and since the proximity to your dear mother makes you nervous, then you will remain motivated to do exactly what the medical team tells you to do in order to speed up your recovery. Exhale and rejoice! All the best and we are all counting you in our blessings, Cynnie, Suzie & Bruce

Anne,
Joyce shared with me your newest "adventure". A dear friend of mine ( and my physical therapist who ia in his early 40s) had his heart valve replaced 6 weeks ago. He is already back at work and looks& feels like a million bucks.
Wishing you a speedy recovery !!

As usual, the Frizells are delinquent with their email, but that doesn't mean we haven't been thinking about you! We know that your spanking new heart valve will keep you kicking for years to come!

Am waiting for your post today that all went well,

By the time you read this, you'll have a new valve! I hope your time in the hospital is a lot like mine . . . Little pain and a lot of wonderful care from everyone at the CC. I'll be anxious to read about your experience.

Take care and feel good.

A few more hours to go, hope you are staying calm. I remember when they wheeled me into the OR I felt a great sense of peace and I know that helped me when I came out of the anesthesia and my hospitalization. I pray that peace for you and a successful surgery and recovery. As for humidity, please don't visit FL in the summer.

Noon tomorrow is 10 a.m. for us. Will be working the agility trial--I don't know what they'll do without you as Gate Nazi--I couldn't begin to take your place, so will quietly push the "Begin when ready" button--about all I can manage at the moment. Erik--you better post promptly tomorrow afternoon! Best, Barb

It was hot in Eliz; the children played in the thunderstorm; I drank wine; we are in the basement: me, reading your posts; they, wishing for bully (yuk..penile) sticks. One of Ruby's 'sticks' went under the wire to Merger..good thing I was weeding out front and heard her reprimanding him for wanting her "P-Stick". No more sticks in group activity!! Den Mother's Orders. Other than that, all is well, Cabo still loves Mia, who doesn't care..and only sits down. Ruby loves Sterling who doesn't care and ignores her butt in his face...Such is Life among the hormones.. And we will all be thinking of you at NOON tomorrow. We'd start a novena but I know what would happen to the heavens should they hear from me..

Thinking of you. Here's to a speedy recovery and return to Colorado.

Hi Anne,
I hope the testing was not too grueling. From what Erik has told me, you must be in the best facility in the country for your procedure. You are in my prayers for a speedy recovery. I cannot thank you and Erik enough for the James Taylor/Carole King concert tickets. They were absolutely phenomenal. I cannot remember the last time I enjoyed a concert that much. The whole place was rocking. Oh, I almost forgot to tell you, Jim tells me he lost 35 lbs. after the surgery -- keep that thought during surgery.
On July 15, 2010...
At last - BIG HAIR. We are sisters!

Hope all preliminary tests are going along normally and that there will be no holding back tomorrow. Dave and I are so happy you are having this done at CC and will be better than ever when this is over...

We're having floors refinished in the family room and kitchen. I'm thinking CC sounds like more fun!

XOXO,
Joyce

Anne,
Glad to hear your hair is looking good, and you are feeling good about your choice to go to CC. Rasta is doing just fine. He complained it was too hot and dry here so we set up a small swimming pool for him. Now he is damp and happy! We will be thinking about you and sending all our positive thoughts your way!

Anne,
Glad to hear you are confident with your decision to have surgery in Cleveland. I think this is the best we can do...go with our choice and feel confident in who we have chosen. I know I felt that way with Dr. Adams at Mt. Sinai NYC. Good luck on your tests and impending surgery. Prayers are being sent your way.
