Well April 5th was my one year mark since having my bicuspid aortic valve replaced. My only medications now are the coumadin, aspirin, and my BP medicine which I cut the dose in half back in August. My one yr ECHO was clean as a whistle and received a clean bill of health form the cardiologists. I am having a stress echo at my request next week as I have continued to work out regularly and would like to know how far I can push the ticker. Other than a scar and a constant clickity click I have no ill effects from the surgery and actually feel better than I have in years. Hang in there newbies there is light at the end of the tunnel. Keep on tickin.........

I had my Surgery on April 5th almost 9 months ago. I feel absolutely incredible. I don't work out quite as often still 3-4 times most weeks some weeks not at all due to work schedules. I'm pretty sure I have felt almost normal since returning to work... Read more.

I had my Surgery on April 5th almost 9 months ago. I feel absolutely incredible. I don't work out quite as often still 3-4 times most weeks some weeks not at all due to work schedules. I'm pretty sure I have felt almost normal since returning to work at week 12. Absolutely no pain now. Hang in there you newcomers it gets better everyday.
