On June 1st I will be having replacements of my mitral and aortic valves. I'm doing research as fast as I can and think I might prefer the On-x valves. Current research indicates that some patients with these valves can take much lower dosages of coumadin and some can actually go off of coumadin and on to a regimen of aspirin and plavix. Wish I could get more information on whether my thinking is correct.
