About Me
I am a 58 year old active male who has recently been diagnosed with MVR and scheduled for MV repair surgery in 2 days on Wed. 11/18. I recently lost 78 lb thanks to Weight Watchers and maintain an active lifestyle and healthy diet. Both the Cardiologist and Surgeon are 95% optimistic that the repair will go well and that I should do well during the procedure. I have no shortness of breath, tiredness, etc. and just a few days before the diagnosis, I cycled 37 miles through wine country. I take Spin classes 4 days a week and muscle conditioning 2 days a week, along with daily push ups (50 -60) and pull ups (7-9). I just wondered if the fact that I am trying to live a healthly lifestyle will hasten recovery?
