About Me
My astute pediatrician discovered my heart mumur when I was 4 years of age. His referral for a diagnostic heart catheterization to Riley Children's Hospital in Indianapolis revealed the diagnosis of aortic stenosis. Since childhood, I was always told at my regular monitoring visits, that I would need an aortic valve replacement "someday". Well, at age 51, someday is now. My gradient (backpressure) numbers have moved into the severe stenosis category and I have been advised by my cardiologist to replace my diseased aortic valve by year's end.
