About Me (In My Own Words)
Discovered heart murmur during annual physical in March of 2016. I am 56 year old male, healthy, never been diagnosed with heart issues but heart disease does run on my Father's side of family and my Mother has hypertension. Have had the Echo and CT scans and will meet with Cardiac Surgeon very soon. May 10, 2016 updated: have an aortic valve issue too and aneurysm at 5.7 cm. Surgery will be in July after they agreed I could postpone for scheduled family vacation. Have some prep work to do and need to get blood pressure down beforehand but moving forward.
