My son had his 3rd aortic valve surgery. He had another blood born staph infection,surgery to take his pagemaker out, an external page maker for 4 weeks,replaced pacemaker.1 week later after 2 trips to ER tests showed his valve wasbad..I bought the book for tony and his wife.he was in failure..had surgery in may . I have been blogging but just realized I was in the wrong place to share information. He is doing better but still sick and trying,I think a bit too hard. We were grateful for 2nd opinion we got from Cleveland,it helped with some big decisions.I have a couple of questions..how long after leaving the hospital do they usually redo the ultrasounds to make sure all is well?He still has heart flutters etc.one lasting an hr.usually after eating.Still naucious..They stopped his coumadin yesterday as well as his lassix and potassium.He is also having a lot of popping in his incision line.Sorry about trying to catch up,we pray for everyone that has had or will have valve surgery..
