63 year old busy working woman diagnosed with aortic stenosis. Will undergo valve replacement on Nov 23 2010. This is all a big surprise for me. Even tho I am very dilligent about having checkups, etc. no one ever told me that this was a possibility for me. Makes you wonder about the medical systems/ When I went to my internists office for an unrelated problem in Feb. the PA said I should go get it checked out. You really have to be your own advocate and hope you get lucky! I should hve been being followed long before this.
