About Me (In My Own Words)
Well everyone, I am thankful for modern medicine and the doctor who initially discovered my aortic valve regurgitation 15 years ago and an aortic aneurysm having formed as well. After 15 years of CT scans, echos, EKG's,angiograms and blood tests, the time has finally come for a valve replacement.
Yes, I knew the time would eventually come but the words cut like a knife when my doctor told me. I cried that morning he told me that I would need heart surgery but through God's grace, I picked myself up and now I am prepared to come out on the other side healthy and whole.
I thank God for the health that I have been able to have over the last 15 years. All I want, is to be around a long time for my husband and boys.
I am thankful for this community and for those who understand the emotions and fear. I wish you all heart health and happiness!
